Who Scored?
and was that 2 goals allowed in 5 games for the Hawks.
If so, looks like 85 goals against could be reached again!

Well maybe they weren't crickets, more like Niagara Falls players chirping, digruntled with their own inabilities. Thorold opened the scoring just half a minute in I think it was zmudszinski. then Falzoi scored a beauty on a breakaway in the second roofing the puck past Jacob Rattie. As in past years the Hawks lived dangerously spending 12 minutes in the penalty box, and were unable to generate much offense on their own 8 minutes with the man advantage. The only thing the canucks put in the Thorold net was Miller as they ran him twice during this game. This Andrew Courtney kid must be a lacrosse player, he can't skate and definitely doesn't know how to stop unless he grabs/hits the boards or some opposing player.

andrew courtney is a good hockey player he is a lot like john roison ,he is hard to nock off the puck, and he will do well in niagarafalls, hawks fans are mad because he nock down miller, just like on the hawks#27 he plays like him, go canacks go

Give me a break, the Falls ran Miller twice, Courtney ran him trying to take him out, then Raine ran Risi trying to take him out, Risi was hurt but stay in the game. Looks like to me the Falls can only play bush hockey and the only way they can win is by trying to take out good players because once again they can't kept up with a fast hockey team, seems to me Terry spent wasted $$ again. Fort Erie gave the Falls a run for thier money. Fort Erie should pick the team they had on the ice Sunday, they never gave up.

lol how about your all looking way to far into this one exhibition game and it meant nothing, it was quite obvious to see that neither the canucks nor the thorold blackhawks put out their best teams both teams were half rookies trying to make the team and half vets just wanting that stupid tourney to end, it was a slow paced game neither team cared what so ever what happened in the game, once the teams are pretty much finalized then you can talk about both teams and compare the team after their home and home with each other next weekend. neither team had a lot of vets in the line up so just let it go people, its not a big deal at all that game did not show anything of what the teams will look like in the season, same for the falcons as well obviously they will be a lot better team than the team they iced to lose to New York.

I hope for the Falls sake that this was a "slow" game for them as mentioned by the previous contributor.
I also hope for the Falls sake that the semi-final game against the Meteors was also a "slow" game for them.
And wow...if that was a "slow" game for the Thorold team then the rest of the teams should be very worried.

That's the point normal guy this game did not mean any thing so why would a team, play so dirty to take cheap shoots at the better players, and by the way Thorold players did get nice jackets for the win. It is a good tourny for final cuts and trades.

Thorold fans see it one way, they think their players never slash or play dirty and don't deverve penalties. I watched them run the Listowel goalie in the playoffs last year every chance they got. The rough play tends to even out so if you think your players are perfect little angels, you are biased and only seeing it one way.

He is playing in Aurora Tier 2. Just came back from Russia.
Tony got some good $ for the guy.
Between Bellows and Smith, Tony can retire soon!

Thanks for the info on Fraser.. I just visted the Aurora website and looked at the roster. Seen they have 27 players listed on the roster... ..17 Forwards. I would think there would be quite a few guys sitting each night..

Once again, wrongfully informed.
The deal with Tony regarding Fraser Smith was this:
Thorold would have the right to trade back for Smiths rights. Now this would mean, Thorold would have to negotiate with Tony to make this deal happen.
New ownership was more than willing to do this, however, Smith's Father thinks his kid is the second coming and instead of going to Brock and play for his hometown, he is now 1 of upteen forwards on the Aurora roster.
Having said that, Aurora did pay a substantial amount of $ to get Smith. Therefore, they must have him in their sights of being a starting 12 forward.

b fan: Did you mean Thorold got nice jackets for winning the pre-season tourney? Didn't know winners got anything for winning other than their own pride in doing so. Just wondering, unable to attend.

Well i know that Aurora is a winning organization....They will play until Jan with the roster they have but rest assure some 20 year old cuts from the O...will be on Aurora between now and Jan..The OHL can only keep 3 1985 births on the team. Two years ago when they went to the Royal Bank Cup the whole roster was made up of 20 yeard old..

Yes Thorold got GHL Championship 2005 windbreakers and the Cup for 1st Place. Nice Jackets. I believe NF got sweatshirts. I don't think Thorold got anything last year for winning, but the tournament was held in Port with only 8 teams. Excellent tournament. Tks, Tony
