I was there and Shaw was not the one to start the fight but he sure finished it. Mc Kenna wanted to go but he'l' think twice before dropping the gloves with Shaw again.
Observer, your kind of a weird duck but none the less I'll answere your questions
1...he sure can play hockey
2...he didn't score any goals but has set the stage for things to come.
Remember, if you don't like fire, get out of the kitchen.
GO FALCONS GO

if he was a boxer i would agree. falcons dont need any more fighters. dahms can handle anyone that dares challenge him. shaw is also a great fighter. what the falcons need is someone to score goals or be a number 1 defenseman. fighting they can handle anyone in the league.so what!!!!!!!!!

who cares who won the fight it was a good tilt by both lads, nothin wrong with mckenna losin a fight he had the balls to go and same to shaw good tilt, both lads deserve lots of credit for a great fight, shaw hit him once on the top of the head and cut him open thats all that really happened, and shaw skates like he put on 20 lbs as well, good tilt tho, I was very un-impressed with the on ice product the falcons had out there with all the talk they've had goin on about how great they are from their fans and everyone, good luck beating thorold and NF this year falcon fans.

Come on, I'm a Canuck fan and I'll be the first to say Mc Kenna was out classed but give him credit for doing what no-body on the rest of his team had any interest in doing.

was there not like all these so called witnesses. In front of the Falcons net Mckenna was chriping with another falcon player maybe 5??, who was twirling his stick like a baton in mckennas face. Mckenna asked the kid to drop the gloves at the ensuing faceoff but the kid skated away, then skates up shaw who has nothing else to do on the ice and asks Mckenna to go at centre, after a slight hesitation Mckenna drops the gloves and the rest is history. Too bad, shaw must be the falcon team because the falcons were not heard from after he was ejected.
want to beat the falcons, sucker shaw into fighting early the rest of the team just backs up

lol what r u talking about take shaw out of the game and the falcons are done, first of all he's not even there toughest player and secondly he isn't even really that good, he's just a hard nosed grinder its not like he can turn a game around or dazzle you with skill or anything , lol what a dumb post "at mcdonald's" made

obviosly Dahms and LaForge did nothing to impress me throughout the game. The Falcon team did nothing to impress me after the 25 second mark of the game. One quick goal does not take the wind out of many teams as was seen in this game. Actually, i think i have seen Laforge, didn't he try out for Thorold? Love the showboating by shaw after the fight, hope he remembers there's always someone bigger and better. He better suck up the limelight while he can.

Shaw knows there are people bigger and better and he also knows they are on his team.
Now get back to your kids meal and eat all your fries.

what happened this morning? ?? Looks like Cole ordered out Mc Happy meals for entire team. New York quarter pounded those falcons into shape real fine. Maybe coles planning on using the midgets for regular season as well.

just reamber that it was the falcons that wined that the falls were the bad street bullies a few years back.if the falcons want to play that kind of hockey it would not take much for terry to bring in 3 or 10 fighters to play that way. there are a ton of goons out there just waiting to get the call from the falls or thorold to fight for them but can they play hockey. by the score it looks like the falcons better get some hockey players if they want to compete

The Falcon fans worry too much about who is going to win fights. Forget about the fighting, and get your game in order....9-1 loss against New York. There's got to be a little questioning right now about the kids who wanted to play and got cut.

The Falcon's had Shaw, Blenkhorn... Petriello..Chummer, Kilcar & Dahms sit that game out , They had a back up goalie play the whole game and had at least 6 midget players in the line up... Relax..Its the Fort Erie Tournament...Lets get the season started

That's their top forwards. Do you think the Falcons under estimated New York or just wanted to give some of their midget kids a chance to play at the Jr. B level.

I think that the Falcons wanted to give some midgets some Jr B experience...I know they don't care about the Fort Tourny.. You don't sit six of your top 9 forwards your No 1 goalie and Starting defence if you want to win ..

I guess it will be a long season for Sean Hall if that was his backup. Another year of christmas burn out. There is a reason for teams having two decent goalies and one being called a backup, he is supposed to support when the first guy falters, not just occupy space. If they want excuses, send out another skater and hang a jersy from the crossbar.

To Guest,
Are you for real or did you just start following jr. b hockey yesterday. Sounds to me like the only one looking for excuses is you. Do you fear the Falcons that much?
It was just a few days ago you were ranting about another teams defence.
Probably next week you'll tell us that Thorold's ice surface is too big.
If you want to get the real facts about the teams, go to the games. All arenas have great student rates.
