Many exibition games have been played so far in the shoe and seems that there is more fighting. Could this be a result of players wearing visors and players taking liberty shots to the face ?? Also seen a player take a cheap shot face forward into the ledge of the boards and lost a couple of teeth. This game will become vicious this year and for a league where hockey comes to an end for most players don't be surprised to see the 20 year old get in their last lick in a fight at the expense of a younger player. Seen it happen many times already and the season has not even started .Any feed back on this issue ?? .

When you watch real good hockey, you don't see fights. In the NHL playoffs or World Cup of hockey, for example you don't see the fighting. It shouldn't be tolerated, some of the younger kids are really going to get hurt and for what? Somebody's ego! Worse these visors, if the high sticking continues, it is not only teeth you have to worry about, somebody could go blind!

I don't like this half visor rule at all. Personally I think everyone should wear it or no one wear it. I've seen a few games were a player with a cage gives the goalie an extra whack, a defencemen wearing a visor comes in and gives the player a shot, then the cage player gives the half visor defenceman a glove to the chin. The cage player is fine but the defencemen skates off hurt. I think players that wear the visor are at a disadvantage if most of the other players are not wearing it. Can you imagine a fight. The player with the visor would have to struggle to get the other players cage off while the caged player could just start punching at the chin.

the kid in niagara falls who had a visor didn't have a problem knockin out that fort erie kid who had a cage on, was wearing a visor and didnt get hit once, mind you it was a one punch fight but still kid with visor had not even a mark on his face and the kid with a cage was f'd up to say the least.

Use to the league, or not. What is it Bush league or good hockey? Bush league, you get players that can't skate well, that just want to fight. Is that what we really want in the shoe?

everyone will wear a visor when the season starts and teams buy them for thier players. players who are wearing visors now bought them themselves, or have them from tier II or the O.

I agree what shoe fan has to say what do you want to see bush league or good hockey ? This league is not filled with alot of depth some teams are real weak with alot of young players and some teams will be stacked with 19-20 year olds. Players will range from being 16 yr 5'5" 150 lbs to who knows 6'6" 250 lbs. Yes some can skate and some can't, accidental high sticks will happen and when it does no one will care, better have eyes behind your head because the right hook is coming to the chin.Tempers will flare and shots to the head will increase without being thrown out. It will be interesting how the refs call the game this year. If they don't clamp down you won't see the line up at the penalty box it will be at the dentist or doctors office hopefully teams will have doctors with a good needle with alot of thread.By the way one team i have not seemn yet is wheatfield are their players wearing visors ?

It seems there is more of a trend on here to encourage fighting than to play real good hockey! The NHL has realized that even they need to eliminate the clutch & grab hockey in order to keep their fans. Is the shoe going to realize that? Let's see some good skating with some good scoring opportunities. If I want to see fights, I'll go to the WWF!

Jr B fan you say, It seems there is more of a trend on here to encourage fighting than to play real good hockey ! I disagree, based on what heavyweight said it looks like there is more fighting and high stick infractions in the exibition games and to fe fan your young players are at risk all because of this visor rule. There is no respect in this league and its not the NHL.

Does it not appear to be that the ones who are not playing the game and have no threat of injury or harm to themselves are the ones making the rule changes that are quite obviously going to add injury that would of never happened before. Sitting in the peanut gallery watching the game is a far cry from getting suckered punched in the yap with a half shield.....
Lets give the boys maximum protection and if they choose to dance , well let them go, drop the gloves, the buckets and may the tougher guy win,,not the cheap shot artist..come on league back to full facial protection,,you guys could be on the other side of the glass

Listen there is nothing wrong with half shields,,, I play the game and have worn both ,...From a players point of few you see the puck a lot better at your feet with a half visor...The kids who wear cages will not be giving cheap shots to kids who wear visors...If you played the game you know that if you wear a cage you will be chirped big time if you try to act tough...

I agree with "enough"!! Theres nothing wrong with visors! Your all just over reacting! Do you hear about people losing eyes and everything in the OHL? NO! Stop worrying and just let the kids play and let the fights begin! Finally NF wont look as wimpy as last year cuz now they'll have to fight!

Whats all this talk about fighting? I'd rather watch a team that is skilled and can win. The occasional fight will break out but it shouldn't be planned. You'll notice the better players don't fight. Too many immature fans dwell on the fighting aspect, they should tune into WWF if this is what gives them their kicks.
