Good game when the canucks had last years FE meteors goalie Andrew Duncan in net but then the second half when they threw in this zimmerman guy, the game just got out of hand. One scrap with #15 (name to follow tomorrow when i look at roster) knocking the FE guy to the ice with one shot hard to the beak leaving a huge bloddy mess all over this ice. #11 (something shaw) looked frigin really strong back on the point for NF..lets hope they keep him..very good pickup if they do...that courtney guy who wore #20 tonite is alrite but hes a bt of a wimp...this little 5 foot guy knocked him flat over..embaressing to watch knowing hes signed already! Nobody else really to mention that is new for the canucks except Alex Radojic on defence...gives up pucck steady..how he got drafted to the OHL and AAA teammate Andrew Letwin who played tonite for Fort Erie and did an awesome job didnt get drafted, i'll never know! Big huge guy the size of the canucks francis was in the lineup for FE tonite but when francis asked him to go, he wouldnt! FE looked to have their selection of small guys but a load of big guys which was nice but unusual to see...rylands playign another outstanding game! Good first half..canucks switch goalie, bad second half..haha!...any other comments? other note: terrible that they had to use the small arena tonite as their big one is just being done but nicely done iit is with the meteors logo on the ice in the center circle!

After watching the first 2 games it seems that the canucks have alot of work ahead of them.In net they have lost both of last years goalies.Say what you want about Marcus Johson not returning but he was better than what they have so far in net.The search continues for a#1 guy.All goalies in camp will be fighting for a backup job and the young Rattie boy might have the inside track. On D other then Francis more exibition games are required and probably some imports not here yet.Young guys looking good are falls boys Whitten and Gizzie both 6 footers that are mobile.Pick ups like Johnson and not sure whether the Jones kid has signed looked decent. Need to see more action with these older players. The young falls D looking good however more veteran D required to seriuosly take a run for the league title.Up front after McFadden don't really see alot of offensive power yet in camp.Sartor looking very good so far in camp. The Couurtney kid not sure where he is from he can play and to AnOn its nice to see a canuck player with discipline. This year version will have guys in the line up that wiill duke it out so don't be worried about that if anything, thats where you will see the most improvement this year ,however that won't win you more games. As witnessed last night you can't win games when you spend so much time in the box.The young guys like potts ,macdonald and varly all falls boys looking pretty good in camp.Over all the camp is runing well however way too many players there, they must get the axe out soon and start giving the serious contenders more time to show what they got.

i agree a lot of weak players out there, they need to trim it down for sure, then they'll start winning games.

Thanks! Tyler Geffroy has been looking good for Fort Erie as well. Looking better than Menard often did last year.

Only three returning players from the Canucks and it showed. The only one that stood out of the new guys was Courtney. Have to wait for the Junior A cuts before more goalies can be brought in for a look see.

Is this the same goalie that quit Brantford to come to FE and then quit FE during playoffs? What happens when NF loses, he quits again.

He'll be up against Hall and Miller. Does he have what it takes? Has he been a winner somewhere? The fans want to know. He looked OK against Fort, but the Black Hawks and Falcons have alot of fire power. That's why there's alot of talk about a proven goalie. It could be the difference between 1st and 3rd place.

Good point NF'r. Duncan will not be able to play toe to toe with Miller and Hall, however, he is a band aid for a bad situation in NFalls.
A goalie that goes from team to team alway's seem's to get a bad rap, however, if you look at the Hawks goalie Romanauskas, he has been nothing but a great ambassador for the Hawks. Possibly Duncan being in a winning only enviroment will bring his game up.

If and I say If Duncan makes the falls he will only be a backup and won't get much ice time except maybe againts Wheatfield. To compare him in the same league as Hall or Miller there is no comparison, Hall and Miller are the best goalies in the Jr B league. When Duncan played in Brantford he was 8 ga and Fort Erie Duncan Andrew 27.40 1644.06 119 36 6 3 0 87.75 4.23 I'm sure the Falls will get a Goalie from the OHL or Tier II when they make there final cuts.

ok well lets kind of compare Duncan in the NHL then. he would be like a Brian Boucher. Boucher set the shutout record in the nhl with 5 in a row. Well , for him not all consecutive games. Does that mean you can compare Boucher as a top goalie to Loungo, Theadore, or Brodeur? No chance!!! So what if he had 3.5 shut outs. Push comes to show he can't compete against Miller or Hall. Gretzky knew it about Boucher and signed cujo. T Mass will do it with someone from the O. ;D

terry will most likely use duncan as a starter until he finds a top end tender from the OHL or out west or something like that and then just get rid of duncan to some team and if he had any smarts he'd take young tender from the Chippawa Riverhawks C team in Niagara falls, mike czaplicki, he's had a real good camp and is a good tender, paid his dues in C now he deserves his shot at B after putting in a solid season for himself in his rookie year of junior hockey. Czaplicki has been for sure the best of the younger tenders at the canucks camp, if masterson is crazy enough to not take him as a backup i'm sure he'd find a spot with a different jr.B team backin up there. young jake has played well too, but i do not feel he could offer as much as czaplicki and would probably be better off for next year playin for Chippawa as they will have a more than decent team in their league next year. regardless of what happens the Falls won't have any serious goaltending issues, lots of good prospects and young tenders waitin to get their chance.

i agree that czaplicki kid deserves his chance at the back up spot after proving himself in C last year, he has also had a great camp this year, almost made the team last year as well had ryan ludzik not come back, that young jake kid needs more time to get more experience, czaplicki has put his time in and deserves his spot, he has played well enough for it. Jake should put his year down in C where he'll grow and improve a lot.

Young Jake would scyually be better off playing Niagara Falls Midget AAA where he will be playing on a regular basis. He could be AP'd to either the B's or C's. I believe that would be best for his development. Good young tender.

The Canucks haven't had a decent goalie for three or four years now.Whats all this talk about Terry getting a goalie from the OHL, he has done it in the past and all we end up with is some plug who wants new pads and cash. He'll wait till some kid quits a team or a team wants to get rid of a kid. Then Terry will throw some money at the kid and his team will get beat out in the play-offs again..You day-dreamers better wake up, the Canucks are going NO-WHERE.

fort erie was out played both games the only reason fort erie was even close in the first game was because of terrible goaltending from the second rotated goalie who let in like 5 goals on about 7 shots.
