with the rookie squad taking a 14 - 3 drubbing wednesday the blackhawks redeemed themselves tonight. with 5 veterans in the lineup, risi, zmuds, mcclaren, canhan and Ramanaukus and two previous AP's Jackson and Demoe, Thorold handled the Canadians quite easily with a 6 - 2 victory.
Welland had 8 vets and 1 AP in the lineup.
Thorold looked confused much of the night with many missed passes and unable to capitalize on 10 powerplay oppertunities. Welland tested both thorold goalies but both looked solid between the pipes.

Rookie line of #3, #20 & #10 stole the show scoreing 3 of Thorolds 6 goals.

#10 small and fast.#3 and#20 could not keep up with him.thorold goalies looked real good.#27 solid on defence. two or three good hits.

One kid from Rochester, another 6'3 center from Leamington and a right winger who played at Lakeshore Catholic and has tremndous hands and scoring touch. This kid can darn right play!

Smudcynski
Risi
Martin
Demoe
Jackson
and that's about it.
Look for this team in a few years to have hardly any Thorold boy's as there aren't many kids coming out of Thorold in the next few years!
