Anyone have any news. Who is back from last year. Any defencemen back. Was Jamie Heywood there. Any other good imports?

Does that mean St. Catharines is finalizing their Midget team roster this weekend? They had a pretty good team last year.

Why is a midget team having tryouts before jr.b and jr.a have made their cuts?

::)If Kilcar looked the best then my prediction will be that the falcons finish ahead of Wheatfield in the standings.

Jealous jealous.. Kilcar will have a big year for St Kitts...He was playing center with the top line of Blinkhorne & Dahms. I think he may stick with the Ice dogs though when there camp opens next week...Good luck Killer

Not big or strong enough to mkae the O. Espcially since the icedogs drafted alot of forwards before him. He will have a good jr.b year.

hello, the jr. b leagues are here because no jr. b player is big enough or strong enough or good enough to make the O ( with the odd exception )

yes to make the O... you have to be big ..no skill able to go to the net like a moron...Look at some of the guys who are in the OHL..Most 3rd and 4th liners wouldn't make a good B team...Thats a fact..

Mcafferry and McFadden, Chmielewski and Zmudzinksi were all 3rd and 4th liners in the o and they are or were the top players in the league. Cmon man give your head a shake, jr.b is not as good as you think it is.

mcaffery was not in the O last year because he would have been an overager and bellville didnt want him , zmud same idea but left half way through last season to come back and win a championship , mcfadden i believe was cut from kinston his second yr and chmilewski never played there at all maybe lasted half of a season

They all came back to Jr. b for one reason, they were not getting more then 2-3 minutes a game. They were all weak 4th liners. None of them scored more then 5 goals in their last season of Major Jr. Hockey. You doubt me, go back and check the stats.
They all are good Jr. B players and thats where it all ends.

I don't recall any JrB players past the age of 16 getting drafted and going on to play well? Does anyone?

u are terribly wrong...mccafferys best season in the O was his last..he put up good numbers..had he not been going into an overage year the upcoming season he would've played there again...go check the stats on THAT

Any new players in Falconland? Did they sign any young 1989's? I know they had 2 1988's last year. How about local 1987's? Just wondering how many new St. Cath. local kids we will have this year?

According to my math, that means 8 out- of- towners and 15 locals equals 23 players. Local kids will be doing alot of sitting! Go where you will play! The numbers spaek for themselves!

Local kids, meaning having grown up in this area and come through the local minor hockey system. Just because Dahms, Wong and Blinkhorn are back for this season and they are not considered imports in official Jr. B. hockey terminology, they still are not our local kids!
