Jared Staal 50th pick----bother of all the other Staals-----!!!!!!!!!!!!
No way should he be 50th and Daulton Leveille 35th!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry Daulton---you have accomplished a great deal but I do believe the Staal line is a more proven model!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After futher checking noway should Mitch Wahl be 52nd ------!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He was an absolute stand-out for Spokane in the Memorial Cup Win!!!!!!!!!!!
An absolute stand out playing defense first----!!!!!!!!!
A back checking forward playing NHL hockey in the Junior ranks----definitely not a 52nd pick and Daulton a 35th pick!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pettione, i dont even know this levielle kid but why dont you just lay off him. are you jealous or something. do you think you are a better judge of a player than the central scouting unit for the nhl. i dont think so. i think it is a great thing that this young man is puting st. catharines in the news along with the golden horseshoe league. it is a credit to all teams. good luck in the draft and best of luck in the future.

Just offering an opinion Scout, I do believe that we live in a wonderful country where opinions and free speech is precious!!!!!! I am in no way demeaning Daulton's accomplishments I just believe that central scouting in my opinion and I am allowed------is just a little off with some of their rankings!!!!!!!!!!!!! That could be possible correct? ??

Some teams have said that they wouldn't even draft him. I can't ever remembering hearing such a difference in a player. Some teams think 2nd Rd and others won't even take him. Had he played in the O we would not be having this discussion , because he would have been a 3d line player and probably not even made the Central list, i think this shows the huge difference some NHL teams have with there staff. That being said I think it would be great to have Leveille drafted straight outta this league as it could help the credibility of the league, which is very poor right now.

OHL the NHL teams say what they want you to hear, the draft is also a big poker game no one wants to tip their hand. The truth will not be known till Saturday. 3rd liner in the OHL not likely give him some players to play with and he would have had alot better stats then in Junior B. Look what happened when he started to play with Stevenson and Jackson at the end of the season. He made the list because of his skating that would not have changed no matter where he played.

Well hockeyguy , tell me one more player whose a 1st round projected pick, that teams have mentioned that they wouldn't even pick. there's not one, so I guess your poker analagy only applies to Leveille. sounded good though bud, but doesn't look to have any merit.

Like any team is going to tell any fans what they really think OHL. If you beleive that I have some swamp land to sell you in Florida as well. All of the 30 teams would pick Leveille if he is available in the later rounds. Who cares if he gets drafted first or seventh round it is still great for home town hockey everywhere.

pettione, you live in a free country and are entitled to your opinion.thank a vet. having said that, when yo u look at the attention this kid is getting, from everyone, not just locally, you have to admit this kid is making some noise. the central scouting people are not playing a poker game. it is their reputation that takes a hit when they are wrong. you will always have your 15th round pick that was missed by everyone and ends up being a blue chip player.but so what. the hockey news and usa today are not slouches either. bob mackenzie is well respected as a hockey analyst and he says levielle is a great prospect. i will make a bold prediction that montreal will grab him in the first round, being of francaphone background.

Have you seen the youngest Stall play? He's as bad a skater as there is in the O.
I worry a bit about Daulton's toughness and size, but the kid has got all the tools. I'm not saying he will or won't make it, but he is an all world skater and has some nice hands. If this kid wants it bad enough he'll have a long and productive career in the show.
On a side note, what’s with all the punctuation marks?
