With our Captain and his Dmen playing very well---
Scars and the backend kept the Sugar Kings off the board for multiple goals and that fact could be huge in determining which team moves on!!!!!!!
But it was the work of the ROLE players that stood out for me----#90 #11 #61 #77 #20 #44 and #23----
They left it on the ice----
No passengers with that group----
With the top lines being watched closely----
These role guys needed to come up large and they did!!!!!!!!!!!
Great job guys---good team effort----good luck in Tecumseh---and keep the goals against low!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree completely pettione. The role players did the job tonight. Still can't believe Mike Bentivegna wasn't named first star. That kid played great every shift he was on the ice.

That was a great game to watch. I agree the the second and third lines for Thorold played very well, that is what i said in a previous post about secondary scoring..I thought Thorold PP was excellent last night although they didn't score the puck possesion was great . You can see its coming around.. The addition of Ward on D really helped ....Great game to watch...What was with #12 from Elmira. I wonder if Thorold has any video of this guy kicking and slashing on 87s back ,that was just an ugly incident and should not be tolerated ..

Thorold victoy was a complete team effort. Every line played, all had numerous chances & the production came from the unexpected. I say production because all 4 lines could of had 2-3 goals each if it wasn't for the Elmira goalie timely saves. Scarsella had another spectacular performance, boy I like watching him. I thought Elmira focused on the Bellows line all game, with tight checking & taking away the middle of the ice. Ward on D, what can we say! Not only did he have a GREAT game, but he raised the BAR for the other D's. Willams, Braun, Kerling, Ellyes, & even McAvoy only took 2 penalities. lol. As for the stars, I don't believe it really matters on this team who gets them they just wanted to win. Did anyone notice from the 3rd Thorold goal onward that after each goal, there seemed to be a special High Five to Scarsella, from his teammates?
All in all I thought Thorold played with confidence, poise, & passion. Good luck Sunday, wish I could be there. BTW, Mike Bentivega cool dude last night, great focus looked like he was having fun with his linemates
