Did anyone think that the IceDogs would be this popular. Things may have started slow but crowds are outstanding now. 5 straight games with over 3000+ in the stands, tomorrows game will be over 3000 again and another sellout will be coming on Sunday. Lets not forget the fact that this is inspite of the fact that the seats are narrow and uncomfortable, the top row of seats has no legroom, the walkways are narrow, the parking is awful, etc. We have the worst rink in the OHL, perhaps the CHL and we are consistently selling out. If we had a nice 5000 seat arena, how many more people would be coming out to the games. I really believe that if we had a 5000 seat arena, we would be getting 5000 a game.

Agreed. A modern comfortable rink I'm sure would bring at least another 1000 fans out per game, the kind of fans who just can't enjoy being in an old tight building where walking more then two minutes to the arena is out of the question. Every team has those fans but their money is just as good. Things are kind of happening in reverse of what I thought might happen, big crowds at the beginning of the season because everyone wants to check out this new team, then attendance settling down to a comfortable average in the second half. Go figure!!
