Well another loss for the IceDogs. They can't even beat a depleted Kitchener team. There is no way this team will even win the conference this year. I don't know if their problem lies with players that are too small, a bad coach, too many bad trades, whatever. Its obvious that they are not going to fix it this year. I'm starting to wonder if its not bad management (coach and GM) If so, Burke will need to make some tough decisions in the next few months. At this point, the only thing I can say is what a waste of the talent they have.

I thought they really carried the play in the first and third periods and were beyond awful in the second. A few poor individual plays cost them the game. Corrente losing his man, who just happened to be the leagues leading scorer on the first goal. Another goal was an awful pinch by Day leading to a 2 on 1. A week attempt to stop the puck with his skate last man back by Merret which lead to a breakaway was another. Last but not least was a very weak behind the back drop pass by Swift about four feet in front of the net for another breakaway. There is a very fine line between winning and losing and this team makes far too many mistakes to win consistently. If it's not taking too many penalties it's horrible turnovers or not getting the puck deep. I hear people talk about the lack of size on this team over and over again but I don't buy it. The main areas of concern in no certain order are...
1. Too Many Penalties 2. Too Many Turnovers 3. Too Many Poor Pinches 4. Too Many Missed Defensive Assignments 5. Too Many Wingers Leaving the Defensive Zone Early 6. Poor Power Play 7. Weak Goaltending 8. Poor Coaching 9. Too Much Line Juggling
Kitchener did all the little things last night that help you win even though they were outplayed a good portion of the game. When they got running around they iced the puck. The got the puck deep eveytime they came down the ice. They started every penalty kill and powerplay with the puck due to winning just about every faceoff the whole game. They made the Dogs work for every chance they got. This is a well coached disciplined hockey team and it shows, even when they don't bring their A game they can still win.

If what I am reading is proper? --- I do believe simple economics makes the chatter true? !!! I do believe that an organization like the IceDogs should consider reducing their administration!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thus reducing costs!!!!!!!!!! Let me suggest two excellent examples of men that can do 2 jobs very well!!!! I am speaking of a hockey man wearing two hats----yes a general manager that is also the coach!!!!!! Let me suggest that what the Niagara Dogs need is a George Burnett or a Danny Flynn!!!! I would appreciate some feedback----and please do not suggest Steve Ludzik!!!!!!!! He is a commentator and loves it on the Score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Ice Dogs made a game of it in the third period also had lots of chances in the first. They did a nice job in staying out of the penalty box Kitchener only had five powerplays they looked nervous in their own end at times and a terrible pass by Swift leading to Kitchener third gaol was devasting if that play had not occured they will only be down 2 to 0 to start the third and who know what may have happen since they came out with a great third period last night.
