The Ice dogs came out flying today scoring 36 seconds in but could not add to the total and a series of penalties slowed them down and the Majors took advantage for the win.The ice dogs played well in the third but could not tie it up despite lot of chances and a rabid crowd behind them. Next game against Belleville and Barrie couple of tough home games before the Christmas break lets hope the boys bounce back for a couple of wins.

Same old story for the Dogs. By far the better team 5 on 5 , but way too many selfish penalties by the vets. Corrente, Foreman, Legein, Schiestel, Swift and Caputi all took penalties. These guys need to start showing some discipline and leadership. The young guys like Sanderson and Merrett seem to be able the play a physical game without constantly being in the box. All the guys born in 89-91 seem to have great attitudes and work ethic and the guys born in 87 and 88 seem to play when they want to and can't control their emotions.

It seems like every loss there is 100 excuses. Maybe this team is not as good as everyone said. Maybe its time to start building for next year. Otherwise this year may end up being a disappointment and next year we'll be hard pressed to make the playoffs, if they don't trade for some younger talent.

I think the trading deadline is Jan 10 so they have to decide before that. If we have little chance of winning it all then trade away. The players we have are talented, but do not play well together. Legein could be traded for 2 good 17 year olds. He probably wont be back next year so whats the use in keeping him. Caputi could also get a couple of young up and comers. I would say trade away Forman too, but if Beljo could only get us a 6th rounder, what would Foreman get us. By the way, why don't we have another overager?

Anybody have any thoughts as to why everybody attacked Cizikas after he scored the empty net goal. Just poor sports, or just another example of how poor the discipline is on this very good lineup.

Judging by their performance on Sunday afternoon it is quite evident that unless there is some major changes in the very near future this team is going nowhere ,they might make the playoffs but won't go too far, if that's the case put out the for sale sign and get the best deal for the future I'm sure that We as fans will understand. I have a problem on deciding where the fault lies that is contributing to their poor showing . Are the veteran players on this team recent the fact that they have to play in a building that is not up to standards as far as O.H.L. arenas go do they feel that they deserve better ?considering the building that they played in last season, which would probably explain the dislike that some of the vet rants have for the Missy Majors. Or is it the coaching that does not demand discipline from his players especially the so-called stars. The rookies could care less where they played as long as it was in the O.H.L.and they show it When the topic came up a week or so ago about coaching ,some agreed that could be the problem and someone mentioned Steve Ludzik's name, I bet He would put these guys in their places talented or not, He more likely would not put up with these so-called dumb double minor penalties for mouthing off or the kind of display that took place at the end of the game Sunday.

My only complaint is the major lack of discipline, other then that I feel this is a pretty good team.

If you want to score in our rink you better be willing to pay the price. He'll think twice before he tries to scrore next time. All kidding aside, I think Petriengelo slashed Cizikas just as he shot the puck. Cizikas turned around and looked like he challenged Petriengelo and then the pushing started. That really didn't bother me as much as the other needless penalties thoughout the game.

Same old same old. This team has to much talent to be playing this brutal hockey. I think something is deeper than meets the eyes here. Nothing else make sense anymore.
