What a draft the Dogs had last year. Desousa, MacEachern, Sanderson, Sisca, Maione, Piertrangelo, Van Laren and Volpe were all aquired in that draft. Brown has made some questionable moves this year, but I'll give the man his due that is a great draft. Most of those players are just scatching the surface, it should be fun watch this group mature together.

And wasn't Maione something like a 13th rounder. Most 13th rounders are not going any higher than Jr. B. He was a steal. Maybe Brown is good at drafting and bad at trades.

Definitely not brain surgery, but I hadn't picked up on that draft year. Sure was a good one! Thanks for pointing it out...
Maybe Brown isn't that bad after all; maybe he just needs a co-GM like in Dallas with Brett Hull and "Insert name here"! One for drafts and one for trades.

I think we made a mistake with this past springs draft. Players like Agozzino and Freisen are good but too small for the tiny ice at the Jack. Hopefully they will learn and draft bigger this year.
