Congrats to Stefan legein on being invited to the 2008 Selection Camp for the World Jr Tournament. His strong showing this summer playing for team Canada against the Russians helped him, and you knew that also wearing an "A" against the Russians two weeks ago gave him an inside spot for the Camp. Unfortunately, neither Caputi nor Pietrangelo were invited. It was hoped around here that Piertangelo might have had a shot at an invite, but only 2 1990's were asked: Stamkos and Tavares. Good luck to Stefan on making the final cut! Check out the full roster: www.tsn.ca/world_jrs/feature/?fid=11297

Personally I would have chosen Caputi or Pietrangelo over Legein. I use to think Legein was great but I don't think he has really played that well as of late. Hopefully Pietangelo comes back next year as he will be a sure shot to play on the Canadian team.

Feel bad for Caputi. He's really played hard the last four games or so. His game yesterday was the single best game played by any Ice Dog player this year IMO. Let's hope he plays the rest of the year with the same chip on his shoulder. He was better than awesome yesterday.
For the record there were only 2 players born in 1990 invited, Tavares and Stamkos. Doughty is a late 89. If Petro is with the Dogs again next year and not in the NHL he will get his shot.
Wonder if there's a chance Sanderson might get asked to play for the US team. I would think it's a long shot for this year, but he should get his shot either next year or the year after.

Thanks hockey123, I edited a few minutes after re-reading my post and figured I was erroneous...

On the bright side we will only lose Aggozino and Legein over Christmas time, that is assuming no more injuries. ;D
