Anyone know if Corrente will get suspended for his fight yesterday. He received 5 minutes for fighting, 2 min for being the instigator and a game misconduct. What was the game misconduct for?

I'm guessing he gets two games. The game misconducts to him and the guy he dismantled were for being the second fight in the same stoppage of play. It usually carries an automatic 2 games.

This guy just gets back and here he goes again.I think Dave Brown should pull the plug on this kid and get a team player that wants to play some hockey. He is probably a good player but time after time he is getting into trouble leaving his team high and dry.If not for the team for the fans!

From the Standard
"Corrente may or may not be in the lineup Thursday when the IceDogs play host to the Erie Otters. He was assessed a secondary fighting penalty in a win over Owen Sound Sunday which carries an automatic two-game suspension.
The IceDogs have appealed to the OHL contending the call was incorrect since there was no initial fight to start with, only some pushing and shoving. The club is waiting to hear back on the appeal."

Yesterday was my first opportunity to see Mr. Corrente play an actual game at the Jack!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me I am a season's ticket holder and I swear it was the first time-----and pleasantly surprised would be an understatement for the quality of hockey that this young man can play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is solid, quick a foot and soft hands ----what a find that is to be sure----BBBBBBBUUUUTTTTT-----all that talent is gone to waste by picking meaningless tassles with smaller opposition to get his jollies and then earn another suspension----get this----what is the quickest way to the NHL-----trying to avoid injury and loss of potential NHL success----I know this kid has been picked by New Jersey and that he was a late send down----the kid knows his stock and I know this is a quantum leap but-----1---10 game suspension----(no threat of hurt and injury when suspended----saving the bones for the pros----then again yesterday----two soft fights----earning another possible 2 games off-----at this pace Matt could possibly dress for 15 games and suspended for 30 plus games at his choosing depending on his state of mind -----always getting closer to his NHL career but not helping the IceDogs----I do believe either the parent club---New Jersey or IceDog Management need to take this kid aside and address his value not in the stands observing but stand tall, solid, speedy and rock like on the IceDog defence----Just as an aside-----I see alot of Matt Corrente in RRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEGGGGGGGGGGGGGIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Tracciuto----minus the needless fights----just Mr. Dependable and Solid----so there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't think he is leaving his team high and dry as both times he was defending a teammate. On a team that lacks toughness, Corrente is very valuable.

A friend told me that the league has ruled that Corrente's fight was the only fight that took place and will not be suspended.

Great! Let's hope this kid can get his head screwed on straight and show why New Jersey thought so highly of him. He has the ability to truly dominate a game out there when his head is into it.
