I just read a thread on the OHL forum where it appears most posters feel that the IceDogs are practising too long. Apparently, they practise from 2:30-4:30 at the Gatecliff rink then do off ice training until 7:00. I found it odd that some of the Dogs players said they were tired after the Barrie game from playing 2 games in less than 24 hours. However, both games were against Barrie so they also played 2 games in less than 24 hours so how can that be an excuse? Are they practising too long. Does anyone know there game day routine. Do they do a morning skate on game days and do they do dry land training as well?

Do they do a morning skate on game days I don't know what they do but I couldn't see morning skates as the majority go to school.

I think 2 hours on the ice is normal. Perhaps the White Oaks thing everyday is too much

I did some weight training in my younger years under a Golds Gym program and anyone who does so regularly knows that weight training should not be done on a daily basis, better for the muscles to work with weights one day then off them the next. I'm hoping that's not what's happening at White Oaks.

Watching the way they played tonight, they are either practicing too much or not enough. Something is wrong as this teams looks like a last place team.
