Sudbury is really struggling and is playing their third game in 3 days. They allowed 60 shots against Erie yesterday. Should be interesting.

Pieterangelo was the Star today. I haven't seen Stamkos play, but if he's better than Petro then he's must be unbelievable. If this guy is not a Norris trophy winner at some point, I would be very surprised. The poise he shows for a kid his age is amazing. Every pass is hard and accurate and he never panics. What a treat this kid is to watch, best player on the ice every time out.
Other game thoughts:Time to make a change on the second line. Poor Swift's talents are being wasted. Bergeron looks like he's out there for a Sunday skate. He doesn't fight for the puck and doesn't create anything for his linemates. He made several blind passes that were picked off and screwed up a few dangerous looking rushes with errant passes. Hopefully they can move Beljo soon and get Swifty a winger. In the mean time I would put Sanderson on that line, he works his but off every shift. Whenever he's out there the puck seems to spend a lot of time deep in the other teams zone.
Agozzino got ran and dropped the gloves right away and landed a few solid shots in a short fight that he was the clear winner in. Nice to see the kid stick up for himself. For a little guy he throws his body around and plays with a chip on his shoulder. Hopefully he'll get more ice time as the season progresses.
Foreman looked good, he was one of the three stars IMO along with Petro and Caputi. He works hard and makes smart plays. They don't lose that Brampton game if he's in the lineup.
Corrente was back and was solid. Gives them a nice top 4 on D.
Legein had a nice game and kept his cool. Picked up 4 helpers including one where he held onto the puck until the last second on a 2 on 1 and threw it over to Caputi at the side of the net for a tap in. Not his best game but solid.
Fletcher took some stupid penalties that cost them. He can't be doing that if he wants to play a semi regular shift. They also seem to be pinned in their zone whenever he's out there. That said, he is what he is and this team needs his intimidation factor.
They seem to be playing two lines and 4 D for most of the game. Vanlaren and Fletcher saw the ice very little. The third and 4th lines were out there one or two shifts a period.
I might think about trying Merrett and Caputi on the same line and put Legein with Swift. Merrett and Caputi are both beasts down low and why not have your best playmaker Swift with your best goal scorer Legein.
Say Merrett-Foreman-Caputi Legein-Swift-Sanderson

I agree with a lot of your points. I think Bergeron may take a few more games to get use to the OHL. He played in the NCAA last year and that is a different type of game. The one negative point is that he is a small player and plays like a small player, as opposed to Sanderson or DeSousa who are also small but play much bigger.

I think there 3rd and 4th lines look very good. There second line (Swift line) also looks good but is not as powerful as I would expect. Swift is a great player but is not getting the scoring chances that he should. I think you may see a change in that line when they get someone for Beljo. Also don't forget that Merrett has only played the last 2 games and will take a few games to get back his game.

I thought Merrett looked good. He really battles.

I think the question is do you break up the Legein, Caputi, Foreman line to make the second line stronger, even though that line is doing so well. I would hate to see them break up that line and then have both their top two lines struggle. On the other hand, one line can't do all the scoring all season.

Can't see Swift and Legein struggling if they are put together.
