for Friday's game. All standing spots are gone. Only singles are available in the premium seat area. Hopefully by tomorrow this thing is sold out.

That is great news. If you are planning on going and don't have your ticket, get it now. Here is some advice, get your tickets from the Customer Service Desk at the Pen Centre. If you get it there, there is no service charge. If you get it from Ticketmaster, the service charge is $3.20/ticket.

I thought standing room was only available after all seats were sold? I know lots of people who bought seats that would always stand.

I thought standing room was only available after all seats were sold? Standing room is not sold out as they are not even for sale yet, that's why ticketmaster says n/a. I still like the idea of numbering the standing spots like the Thunder did, this avoids any arguments and makes sure nobody takes your spot when you leave during intermissions. Hopefully they adopt this for next season.

People are going to jump down my throat for this...but, it's 48 hours before the home opener. 48 hours before the first OHL game to be played in the Niagara pennisula in how many years? Only 48 hours and this thing isn't sold out. Not looking good for the future of this team.

Actually, I'm thinking just the opposite. You see most people have that "it will never last attitude" and you have to win them over. Personally I expected the building to be half full until mid-way through the season. To see that it's almost sold out now is great. People forget how great the hockey is and the obvious group of people that love to see things fail in the area(and I'm not refering to you) tend to weight thins down before they get started. Combine that with the fact that the team hasn't done much promotion and there is no community attachment yet, I'd say they are doing well.
