I went to all 3 preseason games so far and thought I would offer my thoughts.
The Good (Compliments) A TV has been installed in the upstairs lobby and I have heard large screen TV's will be in the main bowl for the opener.
The IceDogs have opened the old large concession stand in the Falcons Nest below section A. Beer is also available at that concession stand as well as in the upstairs lobby. They also have portable stands everywhere selling Ice Cream and popcorn.
The new IceDogs store looks great and is starting to fill up. Fans can be seen everywhere in the arena wearing IceDogs gear.
The Bad (Complaints) The PA system was horrible for tonights game. The first game sounded OK. The second game I had a hard time hearing the announcer, but the girl in the stands with the mike I could hear fine and the music sounded good. Tonight I couldn't hear the PA announcer or the girl with the mike at all and the music sounded horrible.
The concession stands have a horrible assortment of food. Hopefully more items will be added like pizza and fries. I also wish they had butter for popcorn like at the movies. The concession stands also seem unorganized with no assigned lines. Sometimes there is one large line, sometimes 2 lines and sometimes just a mob of people.
Hopefully these things will get worked out for the opener, especially the PA system. But all in all, they have come along way in such a short time.

Agree, can't make out much the public address announcer is saying. Numbers for 50/50 etc, you have to listen closely and hopefully he will repeat them several times and slow down on his delivery.

I attend a lot of events at the Gatecliff rink, including a lot of Falcons games and I have never heard the PA as bad as it was last night. With all the fights in the 1st period, I was trying to hear the penalties and couldn't make anything out. Last year at the Falcons, I would not say the PA sounded great but I could hear most of what the announcer was saying. But last night at the IceDogs game it was impossible to hear anything which makes for an annoying night.

Yeah, the first game it was by far the loudest but at least you could understand it. It looks like it's going to be a work in progress for a while until they get it right.
It sure echoes a lot in there. I think that's been a problem since they removed the drop ceiling.

yes the PA announcer sounded like he was talking through a echo machine. At first I thought they were doing it on purpose, kinda like a special effect. I also thought the music sounded off as well, nothing like how it sounded the first game. I don't really think it was the announcers fault. There was definitely some type of setting that was off. Perhaps they should call a company that specializes in PA systems and get them to show the IceDogs how to set it up properly. If its good one day and bad the next you know that its a setting problem.
One further complaint to add to the list, the hotdogs at the newly opened concession stand were really cold. Its hard to eat a cold hotdog. But since I believe that was the first time that concession stand has been open since the mid 90's, I would expect some snags.

i agree and i work the concession stand for the ice dogs and they are working very diligently to get all the problems fixed before opening nite, and they take every complaint very seriously and are trying very hard to fix all the little things but i would have to say we are trying very hard and its still new to us because we are used to maybe 400 people buying food and now we are dealilng with 1000 people and maybe more and we all know that a the building is old and we have to work with what we have, so they are trying very hard to get everything in order but i think its just going to take time and yes they would love to bring in more food but that will take time, in put from the fans are very important to the ice dogs and they are doing there best.!!i think we all have to be a little patient!! i know that intermission isn't that long and you don't want to miss any of the game!! but we are working on perfecting ourselves!!
