It would appear that the IceDogs now have their first 2 lines set.
The one line will be 5'9" 165lbs Michael Swift, 5'9" 168lbs Jason Bergeron and 6'0" 180lbs Jadran Beljo.
Their second line is 6'3" 185lbs Luca Caputi, 5'10" 178lbs Jordan Foreman and 5'10" 185lbs Stefan Legein.
Only 2 players 6 foot or above on the first 2 lines. Even their third and fourth lines will be small with only Dylan MacEachern (6' 160 lbs) and Reggie Traccitto (6' 197lbs) above the 6 foot mark.
Does anyone else think the IceDogs are too small and may get banged around a lot. I know that hockey has changed with the new rules, but bodychecking is still allowed and fights still happen in the OHL.

the Ice Dogs will be one of the smallest and toughest teams to play against in the OHL. This is going to be an incredibly fast and tenacious team who will punish their opponents regardless of their size. When people see Legein and Foreman together on the same line they'll realize size won't be an issue. Let's not forget that Scott Fletcher is flat out the toughest player in the league and will strike fear into every player who steps onto the ice at the Jack. Fletcher is the kind of player who makes every one of his teammates a little bit braver.

Yes, I heard Legien and Foreman are very tough. Infact, I have heard people call the Legien, Foreman, Caputi line one of the toughest in the OHL. Hard to believe though given their size. I guess we will see when we actually get to watch these players play.

Their forwards did look small Sunday compared to the Owen Sound players but remember that the full team is not together yet. Even though players like Freisen and Aggozino are around 5'9" they never quit and are tenacious on the puck.

I think their forwards are too small and may get pushed around a little. Their D is pretty big and the new defenceman VanLaren is suppose to be pretty tough. He lead his Tier 2 Jr. A team in penalty minutes last year and he was only 16 years old. So I think what they lack in toughness in their forwards there D will make up for it.

After seeing tonights game I think they are too small. The game was very rough and few IceDogs seemed willing to answer the bell.

It is OK for the regular season but come playoff time size does matter , Just ask the Buffalo Sabres!, and by the way thats what happened to the Dogs last year!

who cares about the bell they answered where it counts.. the net. Yes but how long will that happen. If every game is like that the players will soon get intimidated and shy away from the puck. When that happens they won't be scoring many goals. Maybe that doesn't happen it the OHL and that is more of a Jr. B thing. But I remember in the past watching the Canucks beat a more talented Falcon team in the playoffs because the Falcons got man-handled by the Canucks in the regular season and were playing scared.

Sure as Hell you are not talking about the Missy IceDogs. If you look on the OHL site you will see they iced one of the biggest teams in the league. The reason they lost was because of one player......STAAL!!!!

Yes that is more of a JR. B team. You do not play in this league if you are imitated easily. The coaches find this out in a hurry during the exhibition season.
