Should be interesting what type of rookies both team's have.
Thorold had a couple of surprises at their first skate yesterday.
Hawks should be real strong on the back end, and with Risi and Zmud, they should dominate once again in the Golden Horseshoe

2 little players looked outstanding.
Player from Rochester, Hawks last cut from last season, looks very good, other player was young Koudys, only 15 and will be a future Hawk!

too small? mmm, it seems to me that risi is the mvp of the league, is he not? The smaller guys have the speed and skill, not the 6 footers!

Went to take a look. Didn't see much on either side, although Thorold were much better.
And to the guy who mentioned that Risi was last years MVP and he' a small guy. This is true but Risi is about 5 foot 6 and the little guys the other guy mentioned was about 5 foot 2.
ps...do you remember who the MVP was in the Sutherland Cup ??(he was not a small guy)

The Difference between Risi and the other 2 kids is easy to see, over the last couple of X- Games... Let me start by saying, I think both are good hockey players however, "little Koudy's" is knocked of the puck with NO effort every time he touches it. The other small kid from the states is fast as hell...Give him the puck close to the net and he starts to speed wobble. If this kid could pace himself a little better, he'd be awesome. Not to mention, both of them are looking to get killed skating the with their down!
Risi... Powerful legs, strong upper body, great vision, all around... a star player! Go get em this year Risi.....

What are you talking about? Koudys only played in a rookie game as he is only 15. what's that got to do with risi? Save your comments for next year,

"Posted by anon on Aug 22, 2005, 7:56am too small? mmm, it seems to me that risi is the mvp of the league, is he not? The smaller guys have the speed and skill, not the 6 footers!" As seen in your previous post on this topic... you brought Risi into the loop calling him small. He may be small in size my friend, but he has shown to be one of the biggest in the league. Whether I save my comments for next year or the year after, Remember this post... Little Koudy's (as you referred to him), is to small... He is a good hockey player, but cannot play with the big boys! I have seen almost every time these kids have been on the ice this year, I was not judging anyone by 1 x-game... I have seen all the scrimmage's as well. When he makes the team, as I am sure he will I hope that he proves me wrong. But in the mean time I hope he works on his heads up game and beefs up more. It was not my intent to offend anyone... just my observation's;)
