The IceDogs lost 6-4 in an entertaining game that featured more rookies than returning players. The game was entertaining even though most of the Dogs top players were absent from the line-up. The PA system sounded really good but the music was way too loud for the first half of the game. The second half they turned the music down and it was much more enjoyable. I can't wait for them to add the TV screens. The ice looked more like a swimming pool in the third period. It had to be 25C or more in the stands but that won't be a problem in a month or so. ;D

excanucksfan...your right on all counts.
The PA was a definite improvement from the Black and White game, even if it was too loud at times.
It was real warm in there...glad I wore shorts.
The arena is coming along nicely. Should be great when it's all done.
Frozen cocktail drinks in the lobby...find that a Jr. B game.
The new store was open with a limited choice of souvenirs. Didn't expect that.
The IceDogs were wearing their red Mississauga jerseys from last year.

Enjoyable experience especially considering that it was pre-season.
Agree with the above comments on the PA System and love how handy it is having cocktails in the lobby n being able to buy booze at the concessions and having it in the stands.
Nice little merch shop even open last night which was great to see. I just want to say that whoever came up with the priceless "I Hate Michael Vick - Go Dogs Go" shirt, they are amazing...That shirt definetly got alot of talk and laughs last night.

For those wondering, the line-up sheet was in the same order as the post above. It took forever to look up a number. Hopefully for next game they go in numerical order. It will be nice when regular season comes and they all have names on their backs.
I must say that my family and I had a great time last night. Completely different experience from Jr. B.

Would have been nice to see a few more vets in the line-up. I know they have 6 guys at NHL camp and Legein who is on team Canada, but where was DeSousa, Fletcher, or Pietrangelo? I doubt if more than half of the players that played last night will be on the IceDogs roster this year. Even so, the quality of hockey was much better than Jr. B. I can't wait to see the quality of hockey once the regular season starts and they get back all their players
