St. Catharines, Ontario – The Niagara IceDogs has traded centre Brett Oliphant to the Sarnia Sting for a 6th Round draft pick in the 2009 Ontario Hockey League’s Priority Selection.
“Brett is a hard working hockey player who will be a great addition to the Sting. We wish him all of the best in Sarnia”, commented IceDogs General Manager Dave Brown.
The IceDogs acquired Oliphant, a resident of Wheatley, Ontario, from the Barrie Colts in 2006 as part of the David Pszenyczny trade to the Colts. In 90 games, he recorded four goals and earned 19 assists for 23 points with 163 penalty minutes for the IceDogs.
