The Owen Sound Attack is proud to announce that Head Coach Mike Stothers has accepted the position of Head Coach for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. Mike Stothers became the Head Coach of the Owen Sound Attack at the start of the 2002-2003 season when he was hired by then new General Manager Michael Futa. Together they orchestrated four straight appearances in the post season with the highlight being a first round defeat of the Kitchener Rangers in the 2005-06 playoffs. Mike helped coach the Philadelphia Phantoms to the Calder Cup Championship in 1998. A search for a replacement will be put forth by new General Manager Dale DeGray. No timeline has been set for a replacement. The Attack organization wish Mike the absolute best of luck in his future endeavors and thank him for all of his hard work and dedication over the past five seasons
does this mean a resurface of KELLY?

Could be. He was apparently one of the final choices for the GM position. I guess it all depends on whether he wants another coaching job, or will only consider GM jobs.
