The new Niagara Ice Dogs logo sure does look alot like Don Cherreys dog blue.
Is this in respect of Don being the one to first start the Ice Dog franchise or a shot at him for not being successful with the proposal?

When it comes to the logo and this organization I think nobody gives a rats (edit) about Don Cherry and his dog.

I don't think they are taking a shot at Cherry. If anything, I think they are trying to give the logo a new look, as well as keep some of the past IceDog tradition.

Perhaps they are trying to make it look like Cherry's dog to remind everyone of Cherry's involvement. Let's face it, Cherry definitely sells.

Of course it "kinda" looks like Don Cherry's dog Blue. It's a free marketing tool. People will see the logo and comment about it, and someone else will mention it, and so on... and so on...
