Hope it works out for him but he's up against the official site .net and this established forum for talk. Over time I don't think all will be successful, but we'll see.

I agree. I'm not sure why he has a forum as I really think this forum is quite good. I'm not planning on switching forums at all.
I think he should just link to this forum (if that is allowed?) and concentrate on the other stuff. Maybe things like having a Ice Dogs roster with pictures and last year statistics would be good. He could also list all the draft picks which did not make the Ice Dogs this year and have updated stats on where they are playing now (like a future IceDogs report).
But if he is trying to compete directly with this site and the official Dogs site, I don't think his website will get much use. Just my 2 cents.
