I know the plan was not to change the seats in the arena, or make any improvements other then the dressing rooms.
In the last hour, 2 different people have told me that they are planning on putting in new cushioned seats. I don't know if "they" means the city or the owners.
Has anyone heard if the plan has changed and they are indeed putting in new seats now?

I have not heard that one yet but it would be great if it is indeed true.

This would be awesome. I don't even care if there cushioned or not. Just wider, individual seats that are not broken would be nice. Now all we need is a parking garage beside the arena.

Besides offering a shuttle bus, I don't think much can be done about the parking, atleast for next year. But putting in replacement seats is a no brainer. It will be worth the cost, even if Burke pays for it himself.

I don't suppose this means much but during the GHL finals I spoke to a Falcons executive who said that he believed the city had budgeted for new seats next year. I told him "I will believe it when I see it." Now...this was all said before the Ice Dogs news. The city is now budgeting $250,000 for the dressing rooms so my original statement still stands.
"sportscrazy" is right...this is definitely a no brainer and it's something that should have been taken care of YEARS AGO. "fishfan" I hope for everyones sake your sources are right.
As for parking...please don't hold your breath. There are parking lots and a garage on Carlyle St. in the downtown and the city will expect us to use them and walk to the game.
