I just realized something about Lariviere that I never noticed before. Let's look at his playing career...............

He played almost 700 pro games, by no means a spectacular career but some 700 pro games isn't bad.
But I looked closer, notice his last season in Edmonton was 1982-83. Now what happened in Edmonton as soon as Gary was gone?
Well, Edmonton won 4 of the next 5 Stanley Cups as soon as Gary left. Yes, shocking I know.
1983-84 - Edmonton Oilers
1984-85 - Edmonton Oilers
1985-86 - Montreal Canadiens
1986-87 - Edmonton Oilers
1987-88 - Edmonton Oilers
But wait, there's more. He than comes to the St. Catharines Saints where he plays for 3 seasons until his career ends in 1986. The same year the Saints move to Newmarket. That's right, Gary single handedly shuts that team down and forces them to move.
This is undeniable, incontestable, undisputable proof that Gary is a problem wherever he goes and therefore Hubbert must be a better coach. Goldwin, if you read this you must fire Gary ASAP.
(This piece of sarcasm, yes SARCASM for those who might miss that, was brought to you by someone who never should have looked up Gary's stats on
www.hockeydb.com and rather should have went to bed)
