Hubbs vs Larivierre

If you hear a Falcon fan talk, they all have annoited their coach as by far the best in the league. If you also hear a Falcon fan talk, it is Riley and Daulton, Daulton and Riley. I believe that St. Catharines has a number of good players (Jackson, who could be the best player in the series so far, McDondald, Ziraldo, Stevenson, etc..) who have been underutilized in this series. Larivierre has overplayed Riley and Daulton and now neither is overly effective. Both players are either worn down, hurt or sick depending on who you talk to. Riley is easy to wear down because Thorold has made him pay the price in the corners every shift. Daulton is a different story. Trying to hit him when he goes nowhere near the boards is difficut. But Thorold has worn him down by making him use a lot of energy trying to get out of the way in open ice. Watching him dipsy doodle in the middle of the ice to ensure no-one hits him is fun.
Now is when you need your best players and your coach has ensured that they are no longer at their best. ADVANTAGE Mr. Hubbard. By using his bench smartly, Mr Hubbard has beaten the supposed master.

I think there could be a valid point about who is better dressed. Not in the aspect of of respect to fans or being disciplined, but importance of the series, each and every game.

you know what. I understand you skepticism. But no it wasn't something as simple as what tie was worn.
I was thinking that after the second half of the season of winning nearly every game and two sweeps in the first couple rounds of play-offs. That if the players notice their coaches taking a more serious approach to the finals, that maybe the mentality of the players changes from going through the motions, to playing for the finals..the GHL championship. Which would start from when they show up and have a better start to each game.
As close as this series has been every little edge helps. No, it was not about the clothes, but the players and coaches being physically and mentally ready. In this series it is not just the better skilled, but it will depend on those that are mentally ready and maybe a couple of missed calls or lucky bounces.
Maybe in Game 7 the Hawks will realize that they can't think ahead to the party, even if 40 seconds are left.

But I looked closer, notice his last season in Edmonton was 1982-83. Now what happened in Edmonton as soon as Gary was gone?

Well, Edmonton won 4 of the next 5 Stanley Cups as soon as Gary left. Yes, shocking I know.
