Thorold is going to have to win one at home to think of advancing. Game 1? couldve, shouldve, wouldve. They have been out played in thier own barn twice, and if it wasnt for goaltending it would have been two blow outs. They had better have a game plan to contain the Falcons speed.

Outside refs and only 2 penalties all game? What does that say about the usual suspects? ??

Couldn't make the game but looks like Aucoin is coming back to haunt the falcons again. 5 goals in 3 games

the best reffed game i have ever seen. the players didn't take liberties given the situation that developed once they realized that the refs were going to let them play. they were like young, skating versions of bob morley.
to the game...please note the following does not apply to defazio, elbers, sheehan, ziraldo and to some extent mcdonald. as for the rest of the passengers on this team, you should take a look in the mirror. actually just take a look at thorold. they WANT to battle along the boards (and at least their smaller players are willing to go there) they WANT to skate hard to battle for space. and they DO it all the time. as for the falcons defence (again thanks mr. cole), what ever happened to chipping the puck out along the boards. i think i already made reference to the boards. here's an idea, if you don't have the puck don't just be a cheerleader and watch JT, Riley, Daulton, Brad, etc skate and hope to god the puck doesn't come your way, make yourself available. Riley is sicker than a dog and he's still one of the battlers willing to pay the price. can't say that for most of the rest of the falcons.
congratulations on winning the series thorold........what's that......it's only 3-2........oh judging by thorolds reaction at the end of the game i thought the series was over..........
WHAT DO YOU SAY FALCONS......
oh, and a message to larivierre and son....the next time the team comes out that flat, send out the fourth line just to hit people to see if THAT will wake these guys up, and if it doesn't get any better double shift that line. at least they'll battle.

If Riley is that sick, then that explains his poor showing tonight. Daulton was pretty much non-existent. Jackson was the best Falcon on the ice, with 2nd going to Mike Stone, 3rd to JT McDonald and 4th to Ryan Elbers.

Outside refs and only 2 penalties all game? What does that say about the usual suspects? ?? I enjoyed the minimalist reffing but I kept thinking that if this game happened last October, you would have seen a nonstop parade to the penalty box.

Well deserved win by the Hawks, even though they missed tons of scoring chances, which would have put away the Falcons earlier in the game. Nice game winner by Aucoin. I still think it's going to come down to a game seven because I can't believe Thorold will win all three games in St.Kitts. We will see on Friday night.

dalton appeared to be ordinary tonight because an injury he recieved late last game, supposingly pretty serious. i believe lower body hard to play through when his main asset is his skating

If Hawks win you would have to think former Falcon Jason Aucoin GHL MVP... Why? What has he done to deserve that title? well how about 13 goals in 11 games.. But lets get to the real competition which is my Falcon's ,, Falcon's are up 2 games to 1...Hawks go into Falcon nest he scores the first goal for the hawks,, Then Falcon's score next 2 goals ,, He scores a goal early in the third to tie the game.... Tonight sets up the first goal , ,scores the winner, 5 goals against us in the last three games,,..Hey read the Standard tommorow ,they are using my words. Its the same if the Falcon's win i think Leveille should be MVP... Sheahan is a good player but just not putting up big numbers with the amount of ice time he gets,, Less then a point a game .. So Leveille would be MVP...

I think bellows said it prefectly the night before after he scored the game winner.. it comes down to the little things and little mistakes... game 4.. mike stone fans on puck acoin puts it in open net to tie the game... later in the game.. mike stone misses the puck bellows pickes it up and beats a defender and goalie to win the game! Game 5.. falcons hav just tied the game.. hav all the momentum.. kevin floris holds onto the puck to long.. fans on it while tryin to get it out... thorld has a beautiful passing play and acoin puts it in for the win!!! Good game to watch if your just looking at the scoreboard.. Falcons did not hav the energy they usually have and the blackhawks took advantage.. yet in the third period the falcons came out flying... u cant expect to come out for 1 period and expect to win a game against a team like thorold who has the best defensive game in the league... i cant see the falcons coming out flat on friday with their championship hopes on the line but who knows... if the falcons skate for 60 min.. the blackhawks wont keep up all game... with the refs i agreed that i liked how they let the players decide to fate but i can see how some falcon fans would not b impressed since with all their speed it is usually the hawks that get the penalties in their rink because they cant keep up.. it wasnt too bad tonight but there were a few times where if it was different officials there would hav been calls made... it can b said for both teams for sure.. but based on what we have seen in the past.. the hawks would hav been in the box a lot more tonight then the falcons would have... good goaltending battle tonight... steele kept the falcons in it forsure and scars is holding his own.. not as many shots.. he never really sees more then 1 shot at a time do to great defensive play.. cant wait for friday!

Some good points, but for someone that was non-existant in the first two games, so if the hawks win what about 27 points in 13 games, 3 game winning goals, and killing penalties or what about the goalie.... so 4 players to choose from, we'll see who steps up/shows up in the last game or two.

Also no mention of MVP candidates yet in the Standard, just focusing on one player like every article. He was just the flavour of the night

sebbyt - Your statement "oh judging by thorolds reaction at the end of the game i thought the series was over". Maybe you were not at Game 1 when St. Kitts scored in O.T. Same reaction. All these games have meaning. Every win is huge. Don't knock these kids for getting excited. For alot of these players it is the last kick at the can. Unless you have played in situations such as this and know what's on the line, don't be knocking these players emotions and celebrations. Like I said, every win is huge and reason to celebrate just like both teams have been doing at the end of each win.

Sheehan made a terrible turn over on the winning goal last night and often refuses to move the puck. He also takes low percentage shots when there are other options. He does work hard though, I will give him that but he sometimes look like he's not seeing the whole ice. He is not as mature a play maker as Dalton but Dalton is not as punishing with physical game.

i dont no what game u were watching but it was Kevin Floris that made the turn over at the end of the game for the winning goal... he fanned on the puck when trying to clear the puck and it ened up in the back of his net!

Sheehan had the puck just inside his own blue line and tried to deak a Hawk and was stripped of the puck. That was on the Hawks third goal.
