The lights were on between 8 and 9 tonight but the Hawks were playing in the dark!!!!!!!!!!
Simply put Falcon Speed and Skill too much for Hawks!
All year Thorold has displayed Speed but I do believe operating skillfully at that speed is better suited for the Skillful Falcons!!!!!!!!
Riley and Dalton were still full of gas while Thorold's tanks looked empty!!!!!!!
Good effort Falcons!!!!
Adjustments still needed on the Thorold Side!!!!!!!!

Outskated, outworked, outhustled and outscored. The Blackhawks were never in this one. Will they return to the great effort they showed on Friday night? Only time will tell.

looks like a team celebrated their victory friday forgetting about saturdays game, or the games objective has changed and instead of shooting at the net and scoring the objective is to get the puck into the corner and give it to the opposition.

i think there was once another falcons/hawks series where the home team never won but i could be wrong. i could live with that. riley sheehan looks fantastic, but he does the same move every time when he's 1 on 1 with a d. ... as for the rest of the game, hubbard made a bad move pulling scarsella after he let in a bad goal. i guess he's the only one who's expected to be perfect. menard looked really rusty. davidson should stop trying to pick fights with people, the game is hockey, but if you want to lose your focus thorold, go right ahead and try to intimidate. so far, the team willing to work the hardest has won every game, gee is that rocket science or what?

Speaking of Hubbs!!!!!!!! He appeared very controlled on the outside last evening----No loss of Cool----his insides must have been churning!!!!!!!!! I noticed when he took Scars out that he greeted him under the stands and I am sure he told Scars that he is the number one goalie----and rest up for game 4. Mr. Menard has in my estimation lost complete confidence out there----!!!!!!!! On almost all Falcon rushes or chances Marcus made sure that the net became so how dislodged!!!! Not the play of Mr. Confidence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Goalie can be funny birds? ?

Just a passing thought but with the IceDogs in the region now---- If I was a Junior B team I would be fostering an arrangement whereby any goalie castoffs from the IceDogs would be getting full billing with my Junior Squad!!!!! Thorold would love to have Mr. Volpe as their backup----I hope that the IceDogs distribute their hopefuls more generously next year----they cannot continuely go to the Falcons!!!!!!! The Falcons have a Number one starter in Volpe----just gathering rust-----I do believe he will be needed if they advance to the Round Robin----DeFazio may fizzle? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talking about IceDogs handouts.......How about #79 The Woodbridge Warrior He's probably the most entertaining Jr. player in ST Catharines since Bobby Sheehan played here in the late 60's. Up and down the ice with blazing speed ,grabbing loose pucks, great shot.... just a fun player to watch and a real asset to the Falcon squad!!!

Skates a lot like Daulton but does not have the skill or smarts Daulton does. A couple of iron lungs who never stop skating! Great to watch.
