You never hear anybody mention this guy, from the coaches, Potrecz and the fans. They talk about Floris, Moroney and Stone, but Abayof is easily the best overall defenceman on the Falcons. He plays great defensively, has great speed, carrys the puck up ice well, is quick to come to the defence of a team mate, and has a nice hard shot from the point. Just thought I'd mention a great player that nobody ever talks about.

He is a turn-over machine. A high risk high reward defenceman. No disrespect, the falcons should have kept Williams.

He is a turn-over machine. Turn-over machine? .....lol. I don't know what player you have been watching icedog, but it sure isn't Abayof. I don't know how he played in Port, nor does it matter. He's playing great with the Falcons.

Good post zantimisfit, number 44 is one hard nosed little worker----
I am also thankful that Dan Williams decided to team with Thorold this year----
His work ethic is incredible and just imagine how strong the Falcons would be with him on their back end.
Danny may be one disappointed individual if he sees the pinstripped Falcons advance to the Round Robin----but he has played great in Thorold!!!!!!!!!!!

Floris is by far the best D on this squad! Rarely gets caught running around and panicking and is winning most the battles for the puck and in the first game of this series was even bringing it on offensively. Playing with a lot of confidence and poise. A definite captain.

Why would I retract anything? Abayof had another good game as usual. Now, Mike Stone on the other hand.....two costly turnovers both resulting in Blackhawk goals!!!

zantimisfit.. i was agreeing with u until your last point where i agree with sebbyt 100%... Abayof had an awful game and his reactions spoke for themselves.. he was taken off none stop in a middle of a shift and looked (edit) off every time... he new he had made a mistake over and over again and yet he kept on making them.. again another selfish penalty... yes bellows should hav gotten one as well but overall abayof was the only one in the box. Stone probably had his worst game of the season.. did not look into it at all.. when on the bench i could not even c his face from the stands because it was always between his legs or looking down at the ground! 2 mistakes and it costed the falcons the win and the 3-1 record in the series which woulda been huge... like everyone is saying... its now a bnest 2/3 series now!!! should b an exciting finish

Floris top defenseman is a pretty bold statement, im saw a few of the games against the falls and i would have to agree, for a big guy he is not a physical player, tends to get beat by quicker forwards and has trouble one on one..apparently a good leader but def not a #1 dman
