I think the name change is good! maybe change the reputaion a little as well. Coaching change was Barnes' decision but after a 1 27 record in the second half who wouldn't want to leave and quit coaching. As a fan for many years, seeing the ups and downs I hope tootoo brings back a winner to town.

Why would you change the name when it has been like that forever.It is one of two things either the sailors are bankrupt or you are trying to hid something.I could see if you sold the team to a new owner but if the same people are still in place nothing will change!Call up Barnes maybe he will tell you the story!

its timmy t. hes the man and he can do what ever he want's. so now its the port colborne pirates. same reason why they dont have any coaches now. tim didnt want to fork over any money to them so now they dont want to coach. hes running this team in to the ground. time to sell tim!

Wow!!!!! You guys really must think you know what is going on. I don't what Barnes got but every other coach that has been in Port Colborne has always got something. So thats just not the case here. Mabe people should look at the record that Barnes had and weather or not the players really wanted him back. The word out there is that several players would not have been back if Barnes was still there but thats hockey you can't please everyone. Lets all remember this is Jr B hockey and not the Pro's. Its not about the coaches its about the kids or at least it should be. My kid will be back playing in Port for sure. Toffalo has always treated us with respect and deserves alot of credit for what he has done with an organization that was going to benot in operation years ago. There have been so many ownership changes over the years in Port and that is the last thing they need. The Question should be how come everyone always sells Port. Seven owners over the past 20 years seems to be the problem. Just a thought.

if you walk down the streets and take a survey on who likes this guy.. and i will put any amount of money up thats says that if barnsy stayed more guys would come back. people leave port because of tim not because the coaches. tim makes all these promises and never comes through. gary wlech for example. he had down on paper that he was going to get soo much money for school and what not. the kid never got a penny till he took tim to court. tim is recking hockey in port colborne and sooner or later people will start to realize that he is just in it for the money. he could care less what happens to the kids.

What does a pirate do, it steals and robs from the people so I guess the name is fitting.The owner will have to call on Captain Hook to run the team as the sailors have sunk to the bottom.We will have to see if the new mascot will be a parrot!Paulie want a cracker?

Hey loughout i dont know who your kid is but i know everyone on that team and its not the coaches and the problem is the owner!!! barnes and coaching staff put in so much time this year. The guy spent hours at the rink. not only port but everywhere taking video too. timmy does not come threw with promises i know at least 4 guys on the team that didnt get what they were promised! Its just not money to get kids there, its money for school, gas and equipment. The guy does not have the money that it seems.. its hard for guys on the team do play well with crap equipment. I can only wait to see what the guys will be wearing next year. just a guesse- sande gloves, torspo-skates, Trilage- sticks. hahaha well all i gotta say is good luck to barnes next year where ever he ends up! I know he is a good coach and maybe with a good owner to help him out he will take a team to a championship!

Well at least I can come on to this form and not hide who I am. Mabe everyone should call Ryan Barnes and ask him why he left. None of the reasons that you no name people that like to hide are even close to being true but yes I understand this is a form where people enjoy to put others down when they are to scared to face the person. You see if you have a problem with me then call, don't be shy. I will always be happy that we as an organization have moved players on to the next level each and every year that I have owned the team. OH and just so everyone knows the team breaks even every year. Alot of time and effort gets put into fund raising every year and as every other team does we put the money back into the players. But thats right you just don't understand do you.

You have to remember that there are family passes also which would come into play here... a family could have 10 people in their family and all it costs is $20 but each person is counted for thats where tim is getting the 42000 maybe... just a sugestion

Is it really the Port Colborne Pirates now? I like it personally, maybe it was time for a change from the old sailors. And i think the coach getting canned could be a good thing. Its evident they had some team chemistry problems in the last half of the season though. But it was good to see they got it together for the playoffs. i for one thought they were going to take the falls.

I think I was quite clear in my response to everyone. So once again if you have a question pick up the phone and call. 905 658 2190. And yes those are the correct numbers as far as people in the building however the team has on average 50 to 80 people per game in the building that have a free ticket. This is no different in any organization. So before you make comments that you really don't know anything about call first and get the correct information.

Tim why don't you just tell them its not their bussiness.. Tim is a private owner ,you all had a chance to buy the team when it was going to be laid to rest a few years ago,.. How about my Falcon's i have never seen in the the sub-standard any financial statements from my team and this team is owned by the community..

No the person that is mickey mouse is yourself. Go to a printer and find out what the cost is you just don't understand and just to let you know we rented a bus twice during the year to go to wheatfield at a cost of $700 plus trip to M State $1460 plus the gas for 14 trips on our Bus $620 plus $700 paid to the drivers plus the plate fee of $250 per year. Oh and can you guess what maintanence might be well I will leave that to your imagination.
As for what the kids ate all year you are more that welcome to call our speak out rep who by the way knows what the kids got every week. His name is Tom Lannon. I have no problem with the questions that are being asked because we have nothing to hide unlike yourself who seems to have everything to hide.

Making false statement about a person or organization is also not an issue with me provided you are man enough to post under your true identity. The fact that Port Colborne is a small budget team should not give peolpe the right to bash us. If people continue to bash our organization we will take every measure in order to seek out who you are and press charges. So as I said and this is the last warning if you have an issue or question then call if not the next false statement made will result with actions being taken against the poster. Your identity is only protected on this sight provided that you follow the rules. If you don't then you have openened the door up for action to be taken against you.
