I think the Falcon's should take this series in 5... yes 5.... They are the defending champs and from what i seen tonight they should have no problem with the Hawks. I thought if Masterson had of put some pressure on the Falcon defence it may have been a more entertaining game..Overtime playing 1 -2-2 ... down 3 to 1 in the series. ...I for one could not believe what i was seeing .

Should be a great series from the best two teams in the league. Too hard to pick a winner in this one and I don't think home ice will be an advantage to either team. Two advantages for the Falcons is the coaching and the third line (Ziraldo, Elbers, Bessonov) which is better offensively than Thorold's third line. Can't wait to watch this series!!!

The lline of Simson, Defelice and Bentivgnia are not as good as (Ziraldo, Elbers, Bessonov) you have me wonderng there. Maybe just maybe they aren't as good but who have the Falcons got to defend against these guys??

Thank you Panther for not comparing the Falcons to the Leafs!
How will the goaltenders stack up in this series?

Did Menard get His regina fixed? I was at a practice the other day and some of the players said he had a loose regina and was being a total wussy, thanks goodness for Scar.

I also heard that about menard... i think he has lost all confidence in himself and doesnt wanna take the chance of blowing it for his team.. when it comes to the goalie match up.. i think steele will hav the upper hand.. he isnt the same goalie from last playoffs but he has def improved from the season..makin some big saves at the right time! Scars has been playin strong for the blackhawks but really hasnt seen competition but i guess the same can b said about steel for most games... i think everyone was callin this final match up during the season! This series is def gunna come down to goaltending but most importantly "special teams" st.kitts has to get someone infront of the net on the PP, it is just looking awful and thorold on the other hand has had so much success on their PP which has led to most of combacks... both teams hav a great PK so it should b interesting to c. Home ice really wont hav a big impact on the overall atmosphere but it will for line matching. I believe what is said above... st. kitts is rolling 3 lines right now and they r havin success where thorold has been rolling 2 lines and throwing some 3rd liners out to fill spots.. conditioning is gunna b huge!

I Think Marcus is really hurting, just think if Thorold wouild have traded Scarsy before the deadline, where would they be goaltender wise, they have a great defence, but goaltending is part of that defence.

--These two teams really stack up well against each other. Both have been getting strong goal tending and strong defensive play. Both teams have people who know how to get the puck to to the back of the net and there are good leadership people in both dressing rooms. As I see it, the Falcons have a big edge when it comes to coaching. Both are good coaches but the big difference in the way I see is that Rob's moves are always re-active while Gary's moves are mostly pro- active. Am I right, I may be wrong but in less then two weeks we'll all know. Should be a great series.--

obwan, re: your comment, on lines & line combos, Hubbs doesn't have consistant combos for 3rd & forth line . he shuffles them up each game.

I think Thorold has a great defense game and St. Catharines a good offensive game. Should be a great series, however I believe Thorold will come out with the championship in 6 games as long as they keep their heads in the game and keep playing a great defensive game. St. Catharines has been doing better since Coles left, but I don't think they have what it takes this year...maybe next year.

Hate to say it, but I gaurantee officiating plays a big role in the outcome of this series. Hopefull the kids can play beyond it.

Reading the Standard today. Gary says Thorold has to stop Sheehan and Leveille . I think Stevenson was the most dangerous player in the Falcon's drive so far but not a mention from the new coach.. Stevenson ..9goals ..in 9games.. Sheehan 2 goals in 9 games.. Gary if i were you i would be worrying about Bellows..12 goals in 8 games.. Or maybe Gary is trying to get Hubbs to do what he wants .

Generally speaking the finals usually have a good fan base turn out, and I am guessing a Thorold vs St.Kitts final will generate a good fan base. Does anyone think we will need to get advance tickets for this game I was just wondering if I should make some phone calls to get someone to pick some up. Thanks

I think it would be a wise decision to get advance tickets, big crowd expected, it may also be a good idea to show up early for the game, if you want a seat.

Experiance and maturity could be a big factor in the first couple of games. Four of the top six fowards on Thorald are 20 year olds. St Kitts has 1. It will be interesting to see if this has a factor on opening night.
