I heard that there is a new team in the 'Shoe this year. Would that team be the Thorold Blades, who are 0-2 and are at the bottom of the standings?

Thorold has been in the finals and Sutherland Cup and have been top contenders, what, the last 5 or 6 years. NF and Thorold have been the top two teams, and once another team takes one of those spots, then they can have the bragging rights. Jealousy is deep and hurtful. Stop dumping on other teams until you get to the top in Feb or March. See you then to discuss final standings.

Yeah, but in the meantime it is good to have laugh at the expense of Thorold...0-2. We know there going to get a win one of these games, thats why we're poking fun now.

Had to laugh at Port Friday night. The fans were chanting 0 and 2. We should have chanted 0 and 4, sorry incorrect, 0 and 8. I guess you had to be there. It was funny.

There was no chanting from Port, just a bunch of red faces from embarassment and sore behinds from from getting their butts kicked.

Won't hear any chirping for a while from the Falconettes for a while.

All this talk from the Falcon fans being the toughest in the league. Where did that get ya?... no good being tough if you can't score goals against Wheatfield.

Here we go again, another thread turned into Falcon talk, the most feared team in the loop.

dir of talent. get a life. if you followed the posts for the last 3 months you would find nobody cared about the falcons. people actually said why is it the hawks are the only ones anyone wantsto talk about. you dont have to say the same thing on three different postings either.

I think the Falcons can once again make the top 4 in the league this year.

I did not see either Thorold league game, so i have no comment on how they played. (I did however, see them in the Fort Erie tourney and they beat Creek like 6-0...they looked pretty strong to me!) Last Season Thorold had an average GAA of 1.77, but so far this season with 7 goals against in 2 games, its 3.5....hmmmm.. same goalie as last season, Miller , who is a top notch goalie...check out his save percent... its 92.78% which is very good, so he is obviously playing well... now do the math.. in order for 7 goals against and have a 92.78% save percent, it means he has faced 97 shots in two games.. or 48-49 shots per game... although I don't know, I would hazard a guess that last season virtually no team had that many shots per game against them... so what is the major difference so far this season?

What has changed in Thorold? New owners, new coach, about 10 new players. Lots has changed.

What changed in Thorold. Well for starters if it was last years management running things this year, JJ Martin wouldn't have been the only one doing the lap with the Sutherland Cup. Reason for concern, I think so and I'm a Hawk fan.

The reason JJ Martin was the only one doing the Sutherland Cup victory lap was b/c the other 5 or 6 overage players on hand decided to let just their captain ride in the car.. rather than have to choose which of them were going to ride along with him. It was more of a fitting tribute to a great captain in my opinion by the other guys. NOT a selfish move by Martin.

Remove the car from the equation and the whole team fits

They should have got a pickup truck so they all could fit in the back. How long are we going to talk about that victory lap? They never did paint that rusty train bridge at the tunnel with the Blackhawks logo, what's takin so long?

Yes, enough already. When (if) your team wins the Cup then your team can choose how to unveil the banner and show off the cup. This was Thorold's choice, so let's move on.

Iam a true hawk fan and really didnt agree with just Martin doing the lap. If they all couldnt fit then just have them skate behind the car Does it take a brain to think of that? After all the whole team contributed to winning the cup
