i've been at the last 2 games, and it seems like paone is making mistakes, both games he hade 4 guys on the ice when thorold wasn't short handed, last night 3 centres playing on same line, panicing too soon, shortening the bench 2 games into the season. let me hear your take on this.

In the third, Port also missed a fifth player when they weren't short handed. It happens.

Give me a break. Two games does not mean bad coaching. Thorold still has some new players coming to the team, some changes will be made. Players like Pat. There is lots of time to CATCH UP with the other teams in the lead. GO PAT GO!

Oh yeah right.
Vic and Pat have known each other for quite a while.
It was Pat who agreed to bring Vic on.
Possibly Pat should be looking for more season coaches on the bench. Not Minor hockey guys!

Thorold will bring in new players....I hope so. The only one they should keep is Risi.. And to the Hawks still wearing cages, go play jr.c

As in the past, some teams come out flying and tire out by the end of the season. And some teams makes changes and improve and end up the top two teams year in and year out.
I predict the same will happen again this year. Which top 2 ends up on the top is still in question. NF and Thorold are still adding and making player changes.
Good Luck to both in February.

And to Father Time, you're living in the past pal. Things change from year to year. If you want to go back to the past go back a few years ago when the Falcons owned everything about this league, grab on to it, hold it tight to your chest because its about to happen all over again.
Thorold and the Canucks will have to make many changes if they want to compete with the Falcons. The only battle the Hawks and Canucks will have this year is for 2nd and 3rd place
Looks like the cream has risen to the top once more. Go You Falcons..

One correction to "Red White and Win", the statement that the Falcons at one time owned everything about this league. I don't know how many times the Falcon fans have to be reminded, they haven't won anything until the Ontario championship comes to the GHL. Only the Canucks and Blackhawks can make that claim in the modern era.

Yes the Canucks and Blackhawks did win the Suthie but lets face it it was three leagues and its not the best hockey in the province, back then jr.b had four leagues and it was considered the best in the province - Barrie was a powerhouse, Milton and so on...
Ask Masterson and anybody else around then the leagues had better talent overall then - by that I mean more depth on each team...I may be mistaken but if the Canucks won it back then then congrats
GHL fan the modern era is weak with teams like WEAKFIELD!

hey, oldtime hockey st. Kitts has been to the Suthy finals three times since it has been a three league playoff and came away empty handed. If you are saying thorold and the falls won because the leagues are watered down, they must have been using the Falcons to flood the ice at intermission in those suthy cup years

Check back on the league stats and you will see that the powerhouse Falcons won their early league titles for the shoe against such powerhouse squads as Tillsonburg Simcoe Dundas all Jr.c squads..... with only 10 times the population of these towns you sure have lots to brag about ...you win the league and then do nothing against real competition.

Whats population got to do with it?? All teams use imports. Tampa doesn't have the population of New York but they won the Stanley Cup in 2004.
Get with it man, hockey is a great game wheather its the NHL or Golgen Horseshoe. Enjoy the game, enjoy the good players and good teams. Why does everybody always cut up other teams. They are all going to win and they are all going to lose.
Cheer the game, its the best in the world.

the reason people cut up certain teams is due to their arrogance, witch is usually at the management level. you have to agree that st.catharines not wanting wheatfield in the league because thewy wouldnt be competitive and then lose to them the first time they play ,is not funny. you cant let something like that go.
