Would have been nice if Falcon's had given a few stick slaps on the boards to acknowledge Hawks Sutherland Cup Win, guess I was expecting too much.

The goaltending and defence seemed equal on both teams. The big noticable difference was that the Falcons have 4 lines that can put the puck in the net and the Hawks really only have one. None the less it was a entertaining game.

shoe lace...are u sick? or just not at the game?
Thorolds D is nowhere near as good this year! Another thing is we are finally seeing the real rick miller...the one that couldnt keep him a job in so many other cities...he is a good goalie on the first shot, anything after...terrible and even tonite alot of first shot goals..one along the ice too in the 2nd period...aint looking good early for Thorold!!

How did 16 year old Paul Cianfrini play for Thorold?

Thorold looked slow and confused, no players stood out, the D coldn't have backed into their own end any more if they tried, they were actually crashing into miller, Even though thorold got lucky with the early goals, they definately weren't in this game. The advantage Thorold has, the guys who stunk out the joint tonight will watch and learn tomorrow as the Blackhawks depth comes out.

It is only one game of 49. Good point is, Blackhawks will get much stronger.
Remember Spalling didn't dress and Smith should be in the line up for next week. That will give the Hawks 2 of their top 4 forwards that didn't play tonight.
Falcons Dmen our "God awful". They will get exposed by the Falls and next time they play the Hawks.
However, their forwards are very good!
It is going to be a 3 team race. Each team will knock each other off during the season.
This season is going to be tight for the top three teams. Going to be a great run!

Blackhawks Fan, you sound a little desperate................. Falcons defence will get exposed when they play the Falls,...... why, can't your team do it
Get used to it buddy, you saw a high flying RED and WHITE tonight that will probably be at the top or very close to it all year
Just remember, our God awful defence held your high flying offence( ha ha) to one goal for the last 2 periods tonight

Thorold problem is they have 2 or 3 guys that can score with risi and smud being the main 2 while the falcons have blinkhorn, petriello, stevenson, chummer and even dahms had a very good game tonight. If the falcons can strengthin their defence they will be a force to be reckoned with

I seem to remember, Stoney Creek felt that way last year when they blanked Thorold 2-0. Where did they end up in the end?

Well Falcon's offence sure live up to the billing tonight...They pressured Thorold D all night with there speed and physical play...I still think the Falcon's down fall may be the D...Hall played well once again..

I am certainly not as down on the Falcons D as some of you. I was there last night and thought the D struggled a bit in the first period but was very strong over the next two periods. I was very impressed with the speed and the puck control that Scott Levitt showed, I saw Colin Laforge easily handle the high speed and skilled forwards of the Blackhawks as they tried to get around him, Cameron Hawe was in control all night, we lost Jamie Heyward in the first period from a hit from behind. I know I am bias but I liked what I saw from our D last night. Better than advertised.

Wow! Where did Hall learn too play the puck like that. He was lucky he got away with one, called on the first shot. Gonna hurt someone. Oh, by the way, better let him know that chuck-a-puck cost $1.00 and is held after the first period.

;DThanks Billy but I thought you might give a longer answer. I'm sure that levitt played a good game but Danny will probably be second only to Heywood. The Heyward kid must be new! ;D ;D

Well Bill your a nice guy and all and a bit bias..If you think Levitt played a good game last night ,im glad your not the coach.Hanging on to the puck to long with the man advantage not seeing open players on the power play and i stopped counting the give aways in his own end...The Defence survived Bill because the offence pressured the hawks all night ,,,You will see the real D when the forwards have an off night ...Thats all i have to say,,P.S.. Levitt does skate well,..
