Half Visors

I see the story on this site from the Stoney Creek news confirms that the GHL is using half visors this year. Do you think all of the players will wear half visors. If half wear cages and half wear visors, I think this might get silly. Can you imagine a player with a cage fighting a player with a visor? And how will refs call penalties. As it stands now, they seem to allow the light punch to the cage after the whistle. Will a punch to the cage not be penalized while a punch on the chin of a half visor player gets 2 minutes?

its a given that players who choose to wear a cage will be seen as gutless or scared players by their peers who choose to were visors, visors will help to control the actions of players during games because there is no hiding away when you have a visor on, this rule will show who actually isn't scared to be a player and be tough and who is scared and was a pretender before by keeping the cage.

i agree visors will control players actions much more than they were before because now you will get what you give, also are they going to use the two fight rule, as they do in tier II?

Will they have to wear mouth guards and if so who will be able to decipher all the chirping that is bound to go on, actually this may stop the yapping cause your liable to get the old fashioned glove-love in your wide open trap.

It will be an adjustment going to a visor when all kids coming up have only worn a cage. It has nothing to do with guts , its just going to be different. in tryouts kids should wwear their cages and not get hassled because of it. Then if they so choose remove it in a few practices to get used to the change.do it over time.this worked for me.

With the tryouts going on and exhibition games being played what percentage of the players are wearing the half visor.Are the sticks staying down ? Any facial injuries to speak of ?
