The canucks are dressing their younger prospects tonight. Players that are trying to crack the lineup and battling for the 4 th line.Players that are not eligiliable U16 are also playing tonight. Should be a good preview what the canucks will have in a couple of years.

no they aren't i'm sure they will dress mostly vet players tonight for their first home game of the year so they can have a blow out, you will see a rookie line up tomorrow in fort erie.

if niagara falls dresses even 5 or 6 veterens it will still be a blow out. Fort Erie has absolutely no one. Mcfaddan is will bury at least 2 tonight

Why would Niagar Falls dress many veterans tonight? Isn't it their first exhibition game? Most of the Jr. B teams are dressing mostly all rookie teams this time of year. Hopefully vets. aren't out to just prove a point playing against rookies!

Potts and Macdonald looking very good so far ex games will tell the story. Don't be surprised if these guys crack the 4 th line.

i think that macdonald has a very serious chance. potts is a little bit younger and weaker then macdonald, and he will need a few years to get his body ready

Certainly if Potts isn't going to play much, he would be better off playing at least one year of midget where he will play alot and develop further. 4th liners don't get to play much.

yes 4th liners on the canucks get no playing time. remember thier line last year, saw the ice 2 times a game in the playoffs

neither of them have shot, lets be honest one is too small and one is just not good enough, they'd be great and better off with a year in junior C in chippawa or back to AAA where they'd get a shot at playing.

I only caught the last couple minutes of the game unfortuneatly but final score was 8-7 for NF which is not that good of a sign seen as how they had alot of returning players dressed! Mcfadden, francis, scaringi, lazich, caligiuri, candaloro all played plus a couple other who have apparently signed! Alot of you guys like macdonald and potts played...each collecting an assist and playing good games. Jeremy Varley is a 16 year old AAA Midget player scoring a nice goal and adding an assist...mcfadden was said to get 5 points and not to sure sbout the rest! Mike Czyplyki (last years backup for chippawa jr.c), nick lorus and very good young goalie jake rattie all dressed tonite between the pipes! A couple fights as well i heard..one with steve lazich and not sure who else...Paul Whidden, a player from major midget AAA was on the roster and played but was in the stands when i got there near the end of the 3rd so maybe this 17 year old tank dropped his mits! i will have a better report tomorrow night as i will be there the entire game!..lol
ps: any more info on tonites 8-7 win over FE would be greatly appreciated!

Niagara Falls had quite a few vets in the line up-Francis, Sartor, Caliguiri, Lazich, Candeloro, Scaringi and McFadden that I can remember. Fort Erie only had Chambers, Burns and Corey Waszynski. looks like another Waszynski also played, younger brother or cousin? Both scored. Fort Erie did very well since their team was almost entirely rookies that played regular shifts. Canucks rookies were rotated in, but veterans got more ice. Interesting, since it was no-where near a blow out! Only one goal win for Canucks. Young defenceman for Meteors, wore #5, played well. got a goal. McFadden and Francis got one each I believe. Not sure who the other goal scorers were.

The game was promising for the mets and discouraging for the canucks. The canucks dressed alot last of last year players, mcfadden, frances, sartor, lazich, mckeowen back from school, caligiuri, candeloro, scaringi and a couple players not really sure that i believe have signed like jones and courtney. If it was going to be a blow out it was was heading in the mets favour, they actually had a 6-2 lead at one point. The vets played alot as stated in a earlier post .The best 3 players on the ice last night were sartor, mcfadden and francis. If the canucks didn,t play those guys as much as they did at the end they would have lost. Regardless of the score both teams got to see some young players in action and both teams were happy with what they saw.

(edited - The poster commented on how the Canucks had bad goaltending. However, the post was edited as it was deemed to be bashing a player)

Don't blame the goaltending. Although some goals were questionable the quality of shots given was good and it was due to poor defensive coverage in front of him , penalty killing was terrible. Overall it was a sloppy game.

Sounds like the Canucks still have the same problem as last year, Defense allowing way too many chances to keep the other team in the game.

Wow,
Word around Niagara all summer was that the Canucks were focusing and getting good D.
If that hasn't happened, then their organization has not did a good enough job. Now losing Marcus, they are definitely behind the 8 ball.
As proven over the past 3 years, Dfence wins games. Having said that, Thorold D looks surprisingly strong. Good pick ups in Brown and O'Boyle. Plus a kid from Kingston area looks very good.

This was Friday night exhibition game in Falls. 8-7 win for Cannucks. Wasn't able to get there. Can anyone tell me who got points for both teams? Exhibition game points don't seem to be logged on Jr. B. website anywhere or can I just not find them? Thanks.
