Thorold signed absolutely zero new Thorold kid's.
Current one's signed were Ris, Zmudcynski, Martin, Demoe and Jackson.
This will be the trend for the next 5 years as there are very few Thorold kid's who can play at the Jr.B level.
I should say Thorold Jr.B level. I am sure there will be some that can play in Fort Erie or Wheatfield.

Thorold is proud to have 3 kids advance this year, demoe Jackson and Martin were AP's last year unless u didn't attend enough games to notice this. Not bad for a city with 18000, actually extrodinary considering it is the same number st. catharines added with a population base 7 times greater

Very Proud,...proud of what, signing NO new kids. The proudest thing Thorold can boast about is that its lucky enough to border against St. Cath. Now take that to your Kissing Rock.
St. Catharines puts more kids in Jr. hockey in one year then Thorold does in 10 years. And the ones we send to the NHL we are proud of, not fat and lazy rip off artist.

Who are the 3 new St. Catharines kids the Falcons have signed?

Sutherland Cups
Thorold 1 (Loaded with Thorold Players)
St.Catharines 0 (Last year's team was loaded with imports & room and borders)
Not bad for a community of 18 000 people vs one of 140 000.
Maybe if St. Catharines amalgamates with Thorold, they can finally say they have won their elusive first Sutherland Cup.

i thought the big smoke was in st, catharines. if martin demeo and jackson were signed on the team last year, how can you bring them in this year.how many new thorold kids were signed this year. for the record, martin was not an ap last year.lets stop hammering the falcons for not using local players.

The reason Hawk fans always talk about the Falcons is because when they grow up they want to be like the Falcons. You never critize a poor organization ,you always critize the power. This is why Thorold always takes cheap shots at the Falcons or the Canucks.
Its true that the Falcons have never won the Sutherland Cup but when people from the other jr. b divisions talk about the Shoe its usually the Falcons or Canucks they talk about.
My guess is Thorold will never be in the Shoe as long as the Falcons have been and within 5 years you and your 18000 will be back in jr. c.
One more thing, without our born and raised and trained hockey players you and your Thorold boys would still be looking for your 1st Suthy.

With 140 000 to draw from I'd hope to think their 4th place team could field a few homegrowns.

Martin was not AP'd. Demoe and Jackson were on the Jr.B Roster and only played a handful of games to help out the woeful TAAA. As a matter of fact, Jackson hardly played at all. There are absolutely no kids from the TAAA that can play Jr.B over the next couple of years. Oh I stand corrected. There is one player that may play as a 15th forward. Daniel Fowler. Not a bad hockey player I might add. Will need a year in Jr.C so

i thought everyone who was ever good as a player was from st. catharines. It didn't matter where they played somewhere down the road, they were from st. Catharines. Actually, even i'm from St. Catharines, once you get past Grimsby on the QEW your in St. Catharines. The Falls is only Niagara by name it is located in "St. Catharines." So even though the Falcons didn't win the Sutherland cup it appears the players were from st. catharines, this explains the dilema, a city of 130,000 could not be expected to put out 6 competative junior b teams, thats why there is onlly one.
