Look's like the Canucks lost one of their best player's thus far. Lewicki.
Any idea why he left?

That's a smart comment Hawks had 84 goals and 85 goals against the past 2 seasons. Guess what happened?.................. They wond the Golden Horseshoe easily. Once again, Dfence and goaltending will win this league. Blackhawks may be weaker of the two with pure goal scorers, however, good enough offence and sound defence will allow them to repeat once again as Champions. Now you can take that to the bank!

ah well, lewicki is not that big of a loss for the canucks they still have the best forwards in the horseshoe, even without him. Mcfadden, ludzik, mckewon, sartor, stewart, courtney, hayward, raine, baldinelli, candeloro, caliguiri, jt mcdonald and i'm sure masterson will be bringing in some other forwards with the cards he has left, the canucks only problem is the defense not a very deep defense but hopefully they can get that figured out cause they definetly got the offense to be a power house in the league.

NF Lines are made up and look like this:
Courtney Sartor Stewart Raine Mcfadden Heyward Baldinelli Ludzik Mckeowan JT Mcdonald Candaloro Caligiuri
Lines are looking pretty frigin solid!!
For defence...not sure who all they have except for Scaringi, francis, lazich, 16 year old kid, and couple others im not sure who they are!
In net will be Andrew Duncan and finally getting a chance...the 16 year old superstar..Jake Rattie

I just read the article in the NF paper and it states that the Canucks will be more physical. Why can't we just play to win instead of sitting in the box and watching the other teams score. I believe this was the same game plan last year and the year before. Let's play hockey!

This years team will not get pushed around. They will keep the other teams honest. Look at the line combos the top 3 lines all have a fighter on it. You have Mckeowen who hits guys like a truck, Heyward who is crafty and will always get the win on the score card and Steward who is 1-0 in pre season. The fouth line will have Mckenna to protect the little guys when their in the line up like mcdoald and caliguri. So there you have it a much more aggressive team with players there to protect and not iniate. They will not be intimidated this year. Thoro;d pushed them around last year, it will not happen his year.

How many native Falls players on the team. There must be 8 or 9. Says alot about the local hockey program.

the canucks forward lines are looking great this year, the way they all play together is really impressive so far, all their lines have players who can do something else , mcfadden and raine just score and dangle and hayward complements them both well with his physical play, sartor and stewart were skating around passing the puck very well while courtney played physical and finished well around the net, mckewon got tossed early on with a questionable call but he'll be a great asset to the team with his scary physical presence, he is gonna end up killin a few people this year with his hits, and the younger guys like caliguir, candeloro and baldinelli all played very well and held there own and skated their balls off, not a single player from the meteors wanted anything to do with mckenna either he brings the fighting element to the canucks forwards. the canucks forwards this year are big tough and fast and on top of that can put the puck in the net, should be a very exciting season to see.

Its early, but if the way Courtney plays rubs off on some guys like Stewart, Candeloro and Baldinelli then there will be big improvements over last year. I've only seen one game and he shows grit and determination to hit, drive to the net and get a shot away. This is something that is hard to teach and at times was lacking.
