Hands down, best recruit to this league will be Nathan Spaling. The Hawks recruited him from Listowel and along with Risi, will be the best forward in the league.
The addition of 2 solid blue liners and best goalie tandem in the league, it appears now that the Hawks should be the team to beat!
With an abundance of players at camp and a veteran goalie who argulably could be the 3rd best goalie in the league, possibly the Hawks will be working to add a top notch Dman from weak team, or a current discruntled center that could play along Biship and Falzoi.
Should get interesting after the tournament!

The line combined for 4 goals and 12 points. Spaling is the real deal and if Bishop and Falzoi can keep up, they are going to be the best so called "Second line" in the league!

Where do you find a disgruntled center? How about in Welland. They have a really skilled 5 foot somthing center.

Depth, depth, depth. New owners, new management, however they keep the same game plan. Good for the new owners to listen to current and former Blackhawks Mgt.
A winning formula.
Let's see if Niagara Falls get's that big tough Dman they are waiting for out of Owen Sound OHL. In Saturday's Owen Sound newspaper, it say's that Flowers is there to stay!
Now the Canucks can find another slow, tough D man that will be burned out by the 3rd period trying to keep up with the Fast in your face Blackhawks forwards.

Flowers scored yesterday. Putting the puck in the net and policing opposing players who may want to run a highly talented and young Owen Sound team is all he needs to do.
If he does play down here, good for the Canucks. It will be another ex OHL'er who comes to Jr.B and thinks he's the real deal. No affiliation to NFalls, want's his $ and when he see's what it is like to play Thorold in the big rink, he will do what every ex OHL'er has done, quite on them.
You would think NFalls would finally find the right formula!

Falls Fan you said it. Falls cant skate, score or play any hockey. All they care about is being tough and injuring other players. What kind of a hockey player does that make? Why doesnt this organization try getting some decent players that arent goons - and they realy are goons - and maybe win a title. Why would yoiu want to be known as that type of player.

This has been going on in the Falls for years, they have had some really great players and teams...but they are always overshadowed by the goon types that go out to injure or fight ,putting the teams goals last..... the fact is, that they are in their last year and would rather punch out some kid take the penalty and whatever package they got from Terry and leave town at the end of the season.Do the Falls fans a favor and stop bringing in these has beens and never were goon types and just put an entertaining team on the ice,I am tired of bringing my kids to the Friday night fights.

I don't know why the Falcon fans always stereotype the Falls teams as goons. I think it may be because of jealousy. There is no team who can match the Canucks 10 year winning history. Just check the GHL history records. They were a combination of toughness and talent, but that's what Thorold had last year and it took them to the top. Before this current run of winning by the Black Hawks starting around the year 2000 they had some pretty mediocre teams. As a Canucks fan believe me, we don't mind being ragarded as being big and tough. This is a good thing in the sport of hockey and regard it as a complement when other City's fans keep refering to it. Other teams such as the Falcons and Black Hawks/Golden Eagles have had their ups and downs but the Canucks have remained steady and true at or near the top, year in - year out. This is a reflection of the steadiness of ownership and coaching philosophy and the pride in their community. So when I hear statements that this is the coach's last year, I know its only wishfull thinking on the behalf of the rest of the Team's fans.

All of this talk about fighting is just stupid. I like to take my kids to games to see some real skilled hockey players that they can possibly aspire to be like someday. I really don't want their role models known as fighters! Let's clean it up for the sake of the game, kids, players and fans that pay at the gate.
