These teams sure don't like home cooking in this series. I have a theory about it. Feel free to add to it or even shoot it down.
I think the Thorold & St. Catharines rosters are tailor made for their opponents barn. The Falcon speedsters must absolutely love the larger ice surface in Thorold while the Blackhawks defense first philosophy is easier to execute in the tighter confines at Gatecliff where it's easier to bottle up the speedballs.

i couldnt agree more... u can c a huge difference in the barns and you can c the frustration on the falcon part do to not being able to get shots through in their own barn.. thorolds defensive play seems to get a piece of everything and in their own barn they are not able to.. the falcons are able to use their speed and because of hte wider ice surface the thorolds defensive play has to spread out!

if the smaller falcon forwards are not going to be willing to pay the price along the boards, then thorold will win every game in st catharines.

I,m afraid the Falcons are finished! They can't win at home, won't shoot the puck, the Hawks have a better goaltender, taking stupid penalties (Abayof), big guns not really producing and power play is no where to be found. It's all over for the Falcons, I'm sorry to say!

At least bbuckle got the last sentence of his post correct. "It's all over for the Falcons."

i cant wait for the falcons too kill the blackhawks at home again tonight... no team has one at home so there is no arguement ther.. every single game the home team has got out worked... steele is by far a better goalie then scars... the falcons r makin him look good by shoot the puck at his glove... yes he does hav a very good glove hand but just like the last game in thorold.. look what happened when they started to pepper him and shoot other places... i think the result was replacing him with menard... i can c it happening again tonight... the hawks cannot keep up in a big rink.. i hav not heard how wardo is doin but look for the falcons to tkae advantage of his absense if he isnt playin!!!

Bill, thanks with agreeing with me. It all comes down to Friday night. Thorold has the BIG MOW now! One thing in the Falcons favor is one last gate.

hockeytalk08 - How does the crow taste this morning. What happened to your predictions for last nights game. Everything you stated would happen, didn't. Pull Scarsella for Menard. Maybe they should have pulled Defazio and put Volce in.

Sheahan is hurting and sources say that it is his ribs that is the problem. He got hit in the game in St. Catharines and again last night along the boards from #87 lifted him up in the air and came crashing down on his ribs again. 6 games in less than a week will take it's toll on any team.We will see what happens on Friday as the falcons will not go away without a fight. This has been a great series and the refs are letting them play.It sure is great when Gage and company are not around. The game was done in two hours.
